A Blackwire song shot. For XxNinjagoFanGirlxX25, sorry it's really hard to write a story like this without making one character a jerk who cheats or it ending with no one being chosen. The song is Teardrops on my Guitar by Taylor Swift,  by the way. : 3

Jay looks at me

I fake a smile so he won't see

That I want and I'm needing

Everything that we should be

Jay smiles at me as we climb the trees around my house. Our clothes scrape against the rough bark but neither of us care; all we care about is avoiding Jays ex (who currently wants to kill him). I want to tell him, to tell him all my feelings but can't. It could ruin us.

I'll bet he's beautiful, that guy he talks about

And he's got everything that I have to live without

Jay talks to me

I laugh because it's so damn funny

"Hey, Zane, oh wait, sorry. I was gonna tell you a sodium joke but NA," Jay says with a playful smirk.

I burst out laughing and he soon follows, leaving both of us breathless.

"Man, bet you didn't expect a science joke to have that reaction," Zane replies, Jay giggling once more.

I watch him stare, the lovesick look in his eyes making me sick. I've heard him say I love HIM one too many times, yet once was one too many times. He'll say he's finally got it right, but I can't agree. Because he'll never see that I'm the one, he'll turn a blind eye to my love.

I hum quietly as I drive away from the football field, tears threatening to fall.

My breath stops as they walk past me, Jay and his friend.

I watch as they walk, they both seem so perfect for eachother. I see them hug, kiss, hold hands, and be happy with each other. Jay is happy with him in a way he could never be with me.
