I ran. I couldn't take it anymore. I dreaded being in there every second of the day. I swung the back door open, knocking over a trash bin in the back. I hopped over the short, rotted wooden fence, and ran. The tall grass hit my legs, making it harder to run. I push myself to keep going, as my life depended on it. I had already been exhausted. Being beaten and kicked around isn't the easiest thing in the world. My whole life I managed to live in there, with out ever thinking I would escape. No one would adopt me. I mean, who would? No one wants a raggedy, prissy, teenage girl. I hear yelling behind me as I struggle to take every step. I finally reach a building, that leads to an ally way between the different shops and restaurants. I casually walk, trying to hide the cuts and bruises on my arms. As I walk, I take in the noise, that I hadn't heard in years. Not since I was 6. I'm 15 now. Older, yet helpless. I turn a corner, and surely enough, I'm on Hollywood boulevard. The thin air smelt crisp, and the smell of pizza hit my scent. I loved it here, and I hate how I've missed it. I get lost in my thoughts as I walk. Suddenly, I hear yelling.

This wasn't rare in Hollywood, for people to be yelling at each other was normal. But it was different. A man was taking to someone...that wasn't in the presence of him. Like he was talking into a phone. The yelling became louder and louder, but I tried to drain it out. I looked at the ground, passing the pink sparkling stars. I recognized some of the names like, Tom Cruise, Johnny Cash, and Micheal Jackson.

"LOGAN WATCH OUT!" I hear as I run strait into someone, and stumble onto the ground.

I get up and dust off my clothes. I look up and see a tall, blonde man with beautiful blue eyes staring at me.

"Are you okay?" He asked. "Did I do that to you?" He pointed at my black eye. I had just got it recently, because a girl named Taylor Pratten took all of her anger out on me in the orphanage. She practically did it every day. Every chance she got,she hit me, kicked me, and punched me. One time she even stabbed me with a sharpened pencil.

"Oh..I'm fine. And no." I say as I brush my hair behind my ear.

Another tall guy, this time with brown hair, ran up to us.

"You guys okay?" He asked.

"Yea we're fine." The blonde one says, still making eye contact.

"Well we got to get back into the Yeti. Your audition is in 10 minutes." The brown haired one said, pointing to a big white car. It looked like a Jeep, but I don't really know cars that well.

I admired their T-shirts for a minute. The blonde one had a red v-neck on, with a white bird on it. The other one had a black-ish grey hoodie, with the same logo, but covering the whole front of the shirt, instead of just in the top left corner. Before I could ask what it meant, they were gone. I hadn't really thought anything about it at the time. Just an incident. It happens to every one.

I didn't really know where I was going. I had no money, or no way of transportation. The only thing I had was my picture of my parents in my pocket, and a couple granola bars. At the orphanage, that's all we got to eat as a snack. I kept a couple, knowing I was going to escape. I looked at the sun, it was about 1:45 pm. I was starting to get hungry, but I would have to wait until I needed it. Food was scarce and I knew that.

"EMMA LEE BENSON! COME HERE RIGHT NOW!" I hear a voice yell.

It was Ms. Hager, the lady at my orphanage that took care of us. Well more made my life miserable, but I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for her. At least she fed me and the rest of the orphans. She had two tall, strong men at either side of her in black suits. She was a frayed old woman, hunched back, about in her 60's.

My first instinct was to run, so I did. I ran so fast, my brain couldn't comprehend what my body was doing. As I run across Hollywood, I see a crowd of people in front on an apartment building. The only chance I have is to hide. I run into the group, disguising myself. I hear a, "Where did she go?" From one of the men. I see the three scurry past. I take a moment to look at the people surrounding me. Most of them are children, about 8-16 years of age.
