"No?" Castiel says uncertainly.

"I'm gonna show you it as soon as we won't get in trouble for copyright infringement. Anyway, yeah, that's my favorite song. What's yours?"

"Um... I still don't know. Dean, buy me some time. What's your favorite song?"

"Me?" Dean asks.

"Is there another Dean here?" Castiel asks teasingly. "Yes, you. Go."

"Fine. Mysterious disembodied voice says... Well, if Lucifer can go tv show, I can, too. You know that show Psych that also ended way too soon?"

"No," Castiel replies.

"Yes!" Lucifer squeals excitedly. "Is it 'Santa Barbara Skies'?"

"What? No!" Dean replies as if it's a ridiculous guess. "That's... Actually, that's a pretty good song, but no. 'I've Heard it Both Ways' is way better."

"On my gawd, yes!" Lucifer agrees immediately. "Good choice, Deano."

"I know," he replies confidently. "Back to you, Cas."

"Great," Castiel deadpans. "Well, if you're both going with obscure songs that no one knows from things no one remembers, I'm gonna do it, too. Remember when we saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway?"

"What? Where was I?" Dean asks, sounding offended.

"This was, like, a year after we stopped talking," Castiel tells him. "You definitely weren't a shoe in for tickets. But Lucifer, Michael, Samandriel, our dad, and I went." Anna choose a sleepover over a Broadway musical, and Castiel's faith in her generation died a little more in that moment.

"I remember that," Lucifer replies. "It was very meh."

"It was awesome and I refuse to accept otherwise," Castiel replies. "Anyways, you know how Michael found the sequel, Love Never Dies?"

"Yeah, I caught a few parts of it," Lucifer replies.

"Well, I found the soundtrack under my bed — or, Misha did, technically — and I kinda memorized all the good songs so I think my favorite song of the day is... 'Beneath a Moonless Sky.'"

"Which one's that?" Lucifer asks. "Is that the fun rock one with Phantom and what's-his-face?"

"Gustave, and no, that's 'The Beauty Underneath,' which is my second favorite song, now that you mention it. No, 'Beneath a Moonless Sky' is that song with the Phantom and Christine —"

"As is most of the musical," Lucifer adds.

"I wasn't done yet!" Castiel protests. "It was basically the Phantom and Christine singing about their one night stand, but it's a really good song."

"You gotta sing it now," Dean tells him.

"But —"

"You have to," Lucifer agrees. "It's your duty as singer-dude to sing songs that no one knows."

"But it's gonna sound really awkward out of context," Castiel whines. "And then I'm just gonna sound weird."
