"Listen, Soo Yeon has never had a boyfriend, can you imagine that? She's a 모쏠 [a person who has never dated]. Kim Su Jung seonbaenim likes her I'm helping them out."
"I think Kim Su Jung seonbaenim knows where he is doing; he doesn't need you. Didn't he invite her to lunch and the cinema on his own?"
"Yes."
"Then stop it. We will miss the movie if you carry on," Yoo Jin said. He grabbed her hand and dragged Min Ha to where Soo Yeon and Su Jung were.
"Annyeong," Chul Yoo Jin said while he let go of Min Ha's hands.
"Hi," Soo Yeon and Su Jung in unison.
"찌찌뽕[jji jji ppung=jinx] 썸 [sseom= said when there's something between two people]" whispered Min Ha loud enough for her boyfriend to hear and for Soo Yeon to lip read.
The girls stood close to each other, eyed by the young men accompanying them. The two young women gave off two different vibes for two different objectives.
Soo Yeon wore a baby pink sweater, light blue washed ripped jeans, and baby pink old Skool Van's sneakers. Whereas Min Ha, who had used Supernova's make-up and stylist artists to get ready, was going for an all-kill with her electric blue twin set tight miniskirt and body tight turtle neck. All this wrapped up under a white leather jacket. Soo Yeon noticed passers-by taking discreet photos of Min Ha, thinking she was a celebrity. Min Ha wore bright red lipstick in contrast with Soo Yeon's VBC peach pink Gloss, which Su Jung recognized by the smell.
Chul Yoo Jin was unimpressed by his girlfriend's attire to which he was used to seeing, but he had never seen Soo Yeon outside of school, and he found her quite cute.
Su Jung smiled. He knew Soo Yeon was there by pure obligation; it was apparent she would not go all out for him or any other guy. The man Soo Yeon would do cartwheels for was not in their dimension. The thought reassured Su Jung.
The group entered the cinema and bought tickets for Blade Runner 2025, which satisfied the boys, Soo Yeon, and left Min Ha sulking.
"I'm claustrophobic. I'll sit at the end," said Soo Yeon gripping onto Min Ha's arm as they arrived in front of the seats.
The dating novice had prepared a perfect plan where she would sit on the side of the aisle, which would limit the risk of being sandwiched. Then she would have Min Ha sitting next to her. No drama, no problem, that was before Yoo Jin pulled his girlfriend to sit next to him, leaving a seat free for Su Jung.
"Are you okay, Soo Yeon?" Su Jung asked he choose the empty spot.
"Yes, perfectly," not, she thought as she pondered about different ways of making Yoo Jin and Min Ha pay.
As soon as the lights dimmed, Min Ha and Yoo Jin ran off to sit in a Love box [mini sofas for couples who want more intimacy] at the back.
The CGV in Yeongdeungpo-dong was one of the best theaters in Seoul, offering IMAX screens but also seats outfitted with a vibrating sound system.
Stuck next to her date, Soo Yeon concentrated her eyes on the screen. She did not dare turn her head, limiting her motions to digging into the warm caramel popcorn on her lap. A persistent feeling of being observed clung to her, pushing her to turn and look at Su Jung. As excepted, the young man's eyes fixed her. Soo Yeon was sure that if she questioned him on the last scene, he would have no answer.
"What's wrong?" Soo Yeon asked to break the spell.
"Nothing."
Nothing, nothing he says. The guy is staring at me like he has discovered a wormhole in Homer Simpson's brain, and he says nothing! Soo Yeon thought, who felt like knocking him out for the rest of the movie.
Despite Su Jung's piercing gaze, the movie was good, and Soo Yeon debated about every aspect of the plot with Su Jung, who had watched more of it than expected. Min Ha and Yoo Jin were surprised by the chemistry between them. Soo Yeon never talked as much.

Okay, what did you think of the double date? I'm trying to cater to here people.
I talk about VBC a lot the brand doesn't exist. I could have used Skin Food, Tony Moly, or Etude House, which is the brand that inspired me, VBC, but I just thought I'm not sponsored to say their names all over my story (but who knows, huh). ^^
Korean cosmetics are the bomb for all skin types. My skin is at its best when I'm in South Korea.
