"Where is dad?" Max asks when magnus sits down at the table.
"He had to stop at the job site, he will be here when he gets done."
"Ok." Max says, sitting down next to his girlfriend, marrisa.
"Mom." Marrisa says, looking up.
"Magnus." She says as she sits down.
"Cloe, what are you doing here?"
"Marrisa is my daughter. You?"
"Max is my son."
"You guys know each other?" Max asks.
"Yeah, we went to college together." Cloe answers. "You and alec still together?"
"Yeah." Magnus says, smiling. "You married?"
"Actually, divorced."
"Sorry."
"It's ok, it was for the best." She says as alec walks up to the table and kisses magnus when magnus pulls alec closer, Cloe laughs and says, "just like college."
"Cloe, great to see you." Alec says, sitting down.
"Do you have any embarrassing stories of my parents from college?" Max asks.
"You don't want to hear that." Alec says.
Cloe grins and says, "Of course I do. Even though I think alec was more embarrassed then magnus."
"Tell us." Marrisa says.
"Well it was our senior year, during first semester finals." She says as alec groans and lays his head on magnus's shoulder. "Everyone was studying in the lounge but these two, I don't see how they ever got any studying done. Anyway, everyone in the lounge heard a thump on the door but before anyone could get up to see what it was, the door bangs open and magnus pushes alec in, kissing him, slams the door shut with his foot then slams alec against the door never once breaking that kiss. When magnus started kissing alecs neck, he finally noticed everyone watching them. Alec finally got magnus to stop and notice. Magnus didn't miss a beat, he picked alec up, through him over his shoulder and carried him upstairs and nobody seen them til the next afternoon." Cloe finishes with max and marrisa trying not to laugh at alecs dark blush
"It was make up sex. We had been fighting." Magnus shrugs as a grumpy looking man walks up.
"Who are you?" He asks magnus and alec.
"Magnus and alec, max's parents.
"You are max's parents?"
"Yes."
He turns to marrisa and says, "you are not marrying him."
"Yes I am."
"No you are not."
"Why not?" Max asks.
"Look at who your parents are."
"What are wrong with my parents?"
"They are two men."
Max stands up and says, "my parents have been married for almost twenty years, they have taught me how to love deeply. They have two sons. They own one of the most successful building and design firms in the country. I am proud to call them my parents." Max says, sitting down.
"If you marry this boy, you will never see me again."
"I don't see you now." Marrisa says as her dad leaves. "I am sorry about him."
"It's ok." Alec says, smiling at max.
