Katelyn's POV

Home is where the heart is.

I love that quote.

Even though school,

boys,

life,

may show you pain,

the home is your sanctuary.

But also, its not only the destination,

but the journey.

I was having a rather bad day,

I knew that it would brighten as I passed Aphmau's house.

I could see that life has light, in its fields of darkness.

I swiftly peek through the window of Aphmau's purple painted house.

I didn't see anyone.

That's weird, they should be home.

Let me just check on them.

I move towards the door, my backpack patting my back as I walked.

I rung the doorbell and waited patiently.

Ok, not patiently. I rang it again.

Then again.

Nothing.

*Play Song*

I peeked through the window, next to the door and saw a horrifying sight.

Aphmau.

She was sprawled at the bottom of the stairs, blood erupting slowly from many cuts. 

I did what any rational person would do.

Break down the door.

I smacked open the door. 

It collapsed with a loud thud.

I ran to Aphmau's side, noticing quickly her injuries.

She must have fallen down the stairs, but why?

Oh...My...Irene......Aphmau....

  "Aphmau?....APHMAU?!" I shouted as I shook her.   

Where was Aaron? Where was Lilth?!

She was as limp as Lilth's rag dolls.

She was light shade of grey. 

Her life fading.

I fumbled for my phone, my tears outlining my cheeks as well as the screen of the phone.

What happened?

The girl I treated like a little sister.

The girl that was my friend when no one talked to me.

The girl who was there for me.

I'm here for you now Aphmau, now.

I called 911, they said they will be here soon.

I checked for breathing sounds.

I let out a sigh of relief when I felt air being pumped through her nose.

It was muffled, and weak, but still there. 

Aph, please don't die.

I went from kneeling down to sitting to lying down.

I lied down on my back, next to Aphmau, her blood staining my clothes a bit.

*Flashback commence*
