The jury sat back down on their chairs, except for one.
It was a woman, she was holding a slip of paper.
"What say you?" The judge asked the jury.
"We the jury, side with the......"
I close my eyes and grip Aaron's hand tighter.
The stress strained my heart and the worries clouded my brain.
It was like I'm watching a horror movie, in the movie theater.
But this time,
I'm the main character.
".....defendant....."
I let out a big puff of air.
It was like an elephant was sitting on my heart and lungs and finally decided to stand up and get something to eat.
Aaron pulled me into a hug, we both smiled.
We can keep our little girl.
We shook our lawyer's hand and I let go of Aaron and ran to Katelyn.
I threw my arms on her.
I whispered.
"Thank you"
She then whispered back.
