Soulmate
Pietro never expected to find a soulmate after what happened to him and sister when they were ten. Most of their population dwindled during the Stark missile attack, and he didn't even have time to think about his significant other. He had to look after his sister since they were orphans, and he and his sister wanted to kill Tony Stark for what he did to their lives.
They later on volunteered to be experiments to HYDRA, to make sure they were strong enough to destroy Stark when the time came. And it did.
Standing opposite of the Avengers, he watched Ultron say sassy remarks to the team.
"Ah, yes, it's funny Mister Stark." Pietro walked towards the Avengers, standing beside Ultron. "It's what, comfortable? Like old times?" Pietro glanced down at the missiles.
"This was never my life." Tony told them gravely.
"You two can still walk away from this. . ." Steve started to say.
"Oh, we will." Wanda said with a small pout.
"I know you've suffered. . ."
"Ugh, Captain America." Ultron intervened with a fake gag. "God's righteous hero. Pretending to live a world without war. I can't physically throw up in my mouth, but -"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." A girl emerged from behind Captain America, her eyes a glowing blue with blue psionic energy surrounding her hands. "Seriously, Stark? You had to make a bot with your attitude? Like seriously -"
"Who are you?" Ultron growled. "I don't see any file on you."
"Isn't it great being nonexistent to the world?" she smirked. Pietro was at a loss for words. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life. Her dark brown hair in loose waves to her waist, her pale skin contrasting against the small lighting in the factory. Her eyes a glowing blue that matched her powers, her lips naturally light pink and perfect to kiss. Pietro wondered. . .
"No," he whispered pained, regretting ever seeing her. On her neck hidden was her soulmate name, but it was enough for him to read and realise who she was. My soulmate. . .
Pietro subconsciously placed his hand on his neck where his tattoo was hidden with Wanda's makeup.
Before he knew it, a battle was happening. Despite the fact they were on opposite sides, Pietro made sure his soulmate wasn't harmed. But then men started appearing shooting at everyone, making Pietro panic and grab his soulmate in an attempt to bring her away from the fight. But he couldn't, because the next thing he knew he tripped and fell, but making sure he landed on the ground with her on top. He sat up, noticing his soulmate getting helped up by a man with a bow and arrow. The man glared at him.
"Thought you were gonna run off with my daughter, eh?"
Out of everyone in the world, my soulmate happened to be my enemy and also the daughter to one of the Avengers, Pietro thought glumly. The girl gasped, having read his thoughts. His eyes widened in horror when he realised she heard everything he said.
They didn't have time to say anything about it though, because the man with the bow and arrow started leading the girl away from him, every once in a while glancing back at him to make sure he wasn't following them. The girl continued glancing back at him in surprise, looking conflicted.
Pietro huffed in frustration, getting up and targeting other Avengers, being sure to avoid the man and his daughter.
Time passed, and then his sister started the plan on messing their minds. Pietro didn't mind, but then he thought of his soulmate. Panicked, he started running around the factory, spotting her and her father. Without thinking, he called out to them.
"Get out!" he called to them. They stared at him confused. "Quickly, go! Get out of here - Wanda, no!" At last minute he noticed his sister behind the two, and instantly she attacked his soulmate's mind. The man yelled in anger, grabbing an arrow out and hitting it on Wanda's forehead. Immediately she started getting electrocuted.
Pietro shoved the man away, catching his sister on time. He glanced between the two girls conflicted. Save Wanda, or save his soulmate? He reluctantly chose the former.
Before he left, he turned to the man who was still watching him. Pietro nodded to the dazed girl. "Look after her, please? She's suffering a nightmare. Make sure you tell her it's all fake." He left before the man could say anything.
