Secret Revealed
"I-I got to go now." Reid said into the phone. "Bye Mum. I love you." There, message done for in case he doesn't make it through the disease. He needed his Mum to feel a small closure from what he said in the message. It was the least he could do.
"O. . .okay, it's done." Garcia whispered into the phone. "I-I guess I'll be going now -"
"Wait," he interrupted, "can you make another call?"
"Another one?"
"Yeah, it's um -" he coughed, "just find the number of Jane. . .Jane Hunter."
"O. . .okay. . .Jane Hunter is now on the phone - wait, message? Or call?"
"Message will be okay." Reid said quietly. This was it, he was going to reveal his biggest secret to Garcia, which she would then tell Morgan, who'd tell the others.

There's not much secrets in the team.

"Okay, go." Garcia was curious as to what he had to say to this, 'Jane Hunter'.
"Um. . .hey, Jay. I-it's Spencer here. Listen, if you get this, this is because I didn't make it on this case on the anthrax and all - I'd tell you more on the case like I usually do, but this time I don't have time." Reid took in a deep breath before revealing his secret to Garcia who was listening in. "Jane, the past year and three months have been amazing ever since you've came into my life. And for that I am eternally grateful to you. I-I love you so much Jane, and if I were alive, I would have proposed to you on our anniversary that was coming up in a week -" he heard Garcia gasp but continued on to what he was saying. "I love you, Jane. I want you to know that. And I-I want you to move on, and be happy again. I cannot bear to leave you behind feeling miserable for the rest of your life. Just -" he coughed, wiping away small drops of blood from his hands. "Just know that I love you, okay? I-I got to go now. I love you. Goodbye."

She potted around in her garden peacefully, humming a small tune while she was at it. Her life was perfect. She had an amazing job at a Childcare centre where the kids loved her, she had an amazing FBI boyfriend who was protective of her, loving parents - and she was going to be one coming soon.
She slowly got up from the floor while holding onto her pregnant stomach, and went to get her phone inside that was ringing. Wiping off the dirt on her hands, she answered the phone. "Jane Hunter speaking!"
"Miss?" came a woman's shaky voice. "I-I'm Penelope Garcia, I work with the -"
"The FBI in the BAU with Doctor Spencer Reid." Jane said immediately, panic starting to gather inside of her. "Spence has never mentioned me to you so if you know now then it must be important -"
"There's been recent anthrax attacks and Spencer was sadly in one of them. He's at the hospital recovering." Garcia explain hurriedly. Jane breathed out a sigh of relief, forcing herself to calm down for the sake of her unborn baby, to no vail. She started coughing madly, eventually coughing out blood. "Jane? Jane, are you okay?"
"Something's wrong." Jane coughed out. "I. . .can't. . .breathe. . ."
"Jane have you been outside?"
"Y-yes," she gasped, "g-gardening."
"I think you got near the anthrax disease. I'm calling an ambulance - Jane, can you hear me? Jane?"
Jane didn't respond, having fallen to her knees, eventually her side, unconscious. "JANE!"

Spencer woke up groggily to see Morgan eating Jell-O. He frowned when he saw no Jell-O on his table. "Is that Jell-O?" he croaked out. "Can I have one?"
"Hey, kid." Morgan grinned. He turned to he entrance. "Hey Doc, who's awake!"
She came in with a small smile, Spencer returning it weakly. "You were right about the inhaler." she told him. "And just in time. We saved you and the other survivors -"
"Including your pregnant girlfriend." Garcia's voice came from the entrance. Morgan and Doc looked confused, while Spencer paled more, the sound of his heartbeat escalating from the heart monitor.
"What?" he whispered. "Jane?"
"She was outside gardening when one of the attacks happened." Garcia explained hurriedly. "She wasn't near it enough to get affected badly, but with her being pregnant. . ."
"Whoa-whoa-whoa!" Morgan protested, attempting to shove Spencer back down on his bed. But it was no use; Spencer was surprisingly strong despite his weak state. I guess you don't mess with his girl. . .
"I need to see her." Spencer demanded, clutching at his IV stick tightly. "Is she okay?"
"She's asleep." Garcia said, grabbing out a wheelchair despite the Doc and Morgan's protests. "They don't know if the baby is going to survive."
It was a good thing she brought the wheelchair, because Spencer collapsed into it from shock. "Go-go-go!" Spencer rasped out. "I need to see her!"

Spencer made Garcia wheel him into Jane's room, quickly spotting his pregnant girlfriend. She was asleep, oxygen mask over her. Her heartbeat on the monitor was slow, and the fact that she looked very pale and weak was scary. There was a nurse in the room assessing her health, writing down on the clipboard.
She turned to them at their entrance and opened her mouth in protest. "I'm the father of the child." Spencer told her. "Is she okay?"
"Um. . ." she glanced to Jane momentarily. "She's okay, at the moment."
"At the moment?" Garcia repeated. They stared at Jane in fright. Spencer got out of the wheelchair weakly, barely finding enough strength to bring him onto the bed, sitting at her side. He started thinking maybe it was better if he had listened to Morgan and Doc. . .
"The cure was given to her in time, but with her being pregnant, it's taking a while." the nurse explained. "At the moment we're thinking that Jane is somehow giving most of the cure to the baby to save first. And then herself."
"Selfless like always." Spencer chuckled. "One of the things that I love and hate about her." He slowly laid on his back beside her form, turning on his side to face her. Resting his hand on her stomach, he closed his eyes blissfully.
"You're not supposed to be on the bed with her -" the nurse protested.
"It's okay." Garcia said, absently showing the nurse her badge. "We're from the FBI - look!" The heart monitor on Jane sped up to a normal pace - all because Spencer went to her side and touched her. Jane's unconscious form visibly took in a deep breath before slowly releasing it. Spencer smiled at the sight, leaning forward and placing a kiss on her temple.
"I love you." he whispered into her ear.

"Where's Reid?" Hotch demanded, the whole team meeting up with Morgan at the front desk in the hospital. They were on their way to visit Reid when they saw Morgan at the front counter instead of at Reid's room. "I thought you were looking out for him."
"I was. . .until Garcia came with strange news." Morgan admitted with a sigh.
"What?" JJ frowned.
"Yeah. Garcia mentioned this chick called Jane. She's pregnant and she got hit from the anthrax attack. Something about how she's barely hanging on. . ."
"Why would Spence be concerned about her?" JJ wondered. Morgan snapped his fingers in realisation.
"Garcia called her pregnant girlfriend." Morgan told them. "Reid secretly has a girlfriend! A pregnant one!"

They finally got the designated room and spotted Garcia waiting outside of the room. They quickly rushed to her. "Baby Girl, what's going on?" Morgan asked her. "Is everything alright?"
"Why don't you look yourself?" Garcia smiled at them, nodding her head to the room. They all peered in and couldn't help but smile at the sight. Jane was now wide awake leaning against the headboard, and was laughing at something Spencer said. Spencer was leaning against the headboard as well, his arm wrapped around her shoulders and his other hand resting on her stomach, lovingly stroking it. He bent down to her stomach and started talking to it, making Jane laugh more and run her hands through his hair. Spencer looked way better than Morgan last saw him, Jane still looking a bit fragile.
They left them to their privacy, though they knew that once Spencer's back at work, he's going to be interrogated by the whole team.
