Charlie's POV:

I paced constantly around the waiting room, just waiting for some news.

"Charlie. Sit down." Leo sighed, his voice strained and weak.

So let's start from the beginning. I got here as fast I could when Leo called. I was hanging out with Jess when he'd called. So I'd came here and haven't heard any news since I got here. And I've been here for 4 hours. Which feels like a long time when you're waiting. The anticipation is tremendous, and I can't wait any longer.

"Leo. You can go sleep." I sighed, looking over at his tired eyes, dark circles resting under them.

"No." He firmly spat, digging his face into his hands. Leo's hardly had any sleep ever since Mia got here. She's been here for over 3 weeks now. We're both just as concerned as each other for Mia.

"Please. I'll wake you up if there's any news." I begged Leo, worry filling me. He needs to sleep.

"No." He spat again frustratedly. I let out a breath and gave up. Instead, I sat next to Leo and wrapped an arm over his shoulder. I felt his head instantly collapse against my chest, tears spilling down his cheeks.

"She'll be okay, Leo." I comfortingly whispered, hoping what I'm saying is true. Tears continued to spill down his face, sobs now erupting. I sighed and rested my head on Leo's head, rubbing his shoulder gently. I feel so sorry for him.

He's lost so much in his life, and doesn't deserve to lose another.

"I hope so." He whimpered. My heart broke at his sudden weak and broken voice, all his barriers collapsed.

"She will," I whispered, "she's s strong girl Leo." I added in, letting out my breath reluctantly. Leo nodded, his eyes tightly closed shut.

*•*•*•*•*

It's now 10pm. We've been waiting around since 2. It's been 8 hours of constant waiting, just desperate to know what's occurred to Mia.

"Leo, we'd better go." I sighed, wrapping my hands around my coffee, treasuring the heat.

"I'm staying here." He bitterly snapped. I winced at his outburst, weakly nodding.

"I'll stay with you then." I answered, collapsing back into the chair. Leo looked at me, his eyes softening slightly.

"You can leave." He muttered , looking away from me.

"I don't want to leave you here by yourself." I replied, looking over at Leo.

"Charlie I've been here by myself most nights now." He raised an eyebrow at me. I shrugged in response, staring down at the ground in surrender, realising he's right.

"Well.. something has happened now." I muttered.

"Like nothing happened before?" Leo snapped, glaring at me. I bit my lip and shook my head,

"No - I mean like - you saw what happened. You must be in shock." Looking to my side at Leo, who curled up in a ball on the chair, resting his face on his knees.

"Yeah. Okay." He whimpered, his voice breaking, clearly in no mood to argue.

I sighed for the millionth time today, just desperate to know what occurred to Mia.

In that moment, I heard Mia's doors open. I instantly looked up, as did Leo. We eagerly looked at the nurse who had her lips sealed together, a worried expression resting all over her face. She strolled towards us.
