Never Knew // BAM // Part 25

Mias POV:

I tapped away on my phone in my bedroom. Charlie left last night so me and Jake decided just to chat to each other till early hours of the morning. Jake can be a nice guy when he wants to be. Currently Leo's texting me. He doesn't know anything about last night, I hope Charlie doesn't tell him. All of a sudden I heard my door start to open. I snapped my head up warily to see Mike stood there, his arms crossed his eyes sending daggers into mine.

     "Yeah?" I questioned, nervously biting the bottom of my lip.

      "What was that about last night?" He scowled, glaring at me.

       "What was what about?" I questioned, pretending to be oblivious.

        "Don't play dumb. You could've joined the party last night or stayed out of everyone's way!" he growled, his voice hissing. Memories of last night flashed through my mind,  causing me to tremble. I shrugged and continued to text Leo, a frown etched across my face.

     "Sorry" I mumbled. Mike suddenly snatched my phone off of me, causing me to gasp.

     "What the hell?!" I screeched, trying to grasp my phone. He held it up high.

     "Give me my phone!" I begged, clenching my jaw.

      "No" he spat. He suddenly gripped onto my collar, dragging me along with him.

He viciously dug his sharp nails into my neck as he pulled me along. I felt my body go limp as he continued to drag me, suddenly placing his hand over my mouth. I coughed, feeling something enter my mouth. It started to melt in my mouth, sobs erupting from me. I tried to get it out of my mouth, but Mikes hand securely placed over my mouth, not able to move it. Glancing around me anxiously, I noticed he was bringing me to stairs. I gasped as he suddenly flung my body forward, causing me to go tumbling down the stairs. My entire body ached as it stumbled down, then my eyes closed.

I woke up. My heart racing loudly in my chest as I flickered open my eyes. My breath hitched as I blinked, taking in everything around me. Objects like cupboards and desks surrounded me. Until I set my eyes on someone. Charlie's soft blonde hair was on show, his face on the bed as he kneeled on the floor, letting out soft and gentle breaths.

     "Charlie?" I croaked. He lifted his head up from the bed, his eyes opened widely in fear.

      "Mia? Oh god, are you okay?!" He gasped. I slowly moved my body, a sudden pain shooting through my ankle. I hissed, clutching my eyes shut.

      "Only my ankle. What happened?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows together as I let out a heavy breath, slowly opening my eyes. Charlie looked at me in concern, his mouth opened slightly as if wary of what to say.

        "Oh - I was coming over as you didn't pick up on your phone... I saw you laying on the floor. At the bottom of the stairs. Nobody was around. I took you to my house." Charlie replied after a few seconds of silence. I gratefully nodded, a sudden flashback of remembering Mike throwing me down the stairs.

       "I tripped. Thanks Char" i mumbled, fiddling with my fingers. Charlie nodded.

        "How long have I been here?" I curiously asked, peering up into his bright, blue eyes.

        "About 10 hours. It's 7:34am." He replied softly.

"You've been with me this entire time?" I questioned, feeling shocked. Charlie weakly smiled, gazing into my eyes,

"I was so worried Mia, i couldn't leave you." A smile tugged on my lips, a sense of warmth spreading through me at Charlie's care towards me.
