I'm relieved nothing bad happened this morning at home. Breakfast was somewhat normal and no shouts or any slapping action was given, so that's good.

My first classes have been good as well and to be honest, this day is going pretty well, and like my father says, if you're positive, life will be positive to you.

Zach and I enter the cafeteria and sit on the nearest table.

I saw Stella and Scarlett on first period but couldn't talk much to them, we were pretty busy doing class work. When the class finished, they vanished in the air. I haven't heard anything from them since then.

"Allie." Zach says and I look up, placing the lunch I took out from my backpack on the table. "You seem," he pauses trying to find the right word, "distant."

"Really?" I ask. Maybe I am but it's not on purpose.

"Do you want to talk about something?" He suggests.

He is a great listener but I don't want to depress myself right now talking about my family issues, so I'll just pretend everything's alright. "I'm fine." I say, "Only a little worried about this week's tests and projects and all that." I half lie.

"Yeah. Same here." Zach responds. I'm actually pretty sure he knows I'm not totally fine, but he must be giving me space, which I appreciate.

"Since you don't have anything to talk about, maybe it's time for me to tell you something." He says with a serious tone.

"Okay. What's it about?" I curiously ask. I love having deep conversations with Zach, he always has the most interesting point of views about everything. I hope he brings up Stella's situation, that's one topic I would like to discuss even though it's not of my business.

"Liam and I." Well that was an unexpected turn of events. Please don't tell me you're gay and you want to take Liam away from me. That would be funny though.

"Oh." I say, "Go ahead."

LIAM'S POV

I've been sweating all morning, I'm nervous.

Today is the day.

I was waiting until Spanish class to talk to Allie but I remembered we both have free period right now so I'll take the shot now before I back down later.

I walk to the cafeteria because she's always eating, so that's the first place that comes to my mind.

There are not a lot of people when I arrive, so I spot her in a matter of seconds, and for my misfortune she's with Zach, again. When will that guy leave her alone? I'm starting to think that the little crush he has going on is more than just a crush.

"Liam and I had misunderstandings and some issues in the past." I overhear Zach saying. Shit. Shit. "He wasn't always nice, like he is with you." Fuck you Zach, just when I thought we were friends again. "We had some-" This is it.

"Are you throwing trash at me?" I interrupt him when I get to the table.

"I wasn't-"

"Man I heard you" I say without looking at Allie, "That's in the past."

"What's in the past?" Allie asks, bringing a grape to her mouth.

"Nothing." I say before that traitor in front of me answers.

"I wasn't going to say anything." He responds. Yeah sure, now I'm being paranoid.

I roll my eyes. He thinks I'm that naïve to believe in him.

"What are you hiding from me?" Allie asks confused. Her voice sounds happy and sad at the same time, it's weird.

I look away from her and to Zach. Silence fills the air for a moment.
