I woke up in Deaton's office, my head throbbing, and I could hear voices coming from the front of the place. Slowly, I got off the cold, hard table and made my way toward the source of the conversation.

"Only minor. The white wolf was exactly where you said it would be. But we have two problems now. First, the lichen is not a cure. It'll wear off in a matter of days," I heard Deaton's voice say. I wondered who he was talking to as I approached.

I walked into their line of sight. Deaton was on the phone with someone, and Allison and Scott stood in front of him.

"Anyone have an Advil?" I asked, my head still aching. They all turned to look at me.

"Stella!" Allison rushed over to me, checking to see if I was okay.

"I'm fine, Allison, just a little headache," I reassured her. She smiled shyly and stepped back.

"Well, sorry you got hit on the head twice," Allison said, remembering the first time. "And may I remind you that both times it was because of Stiles?" She crossed her arms and returned to Scott's side.

"No, that wasn't Stiles; it was his body, but not his mind," I protested, walking over to join them.

"Whatever," Allison shrugged.

"We'll meet tomorrow," Scott said to Allison. She nodded, and Scott started his bike, heading home.

Allison unlocked the car, and I quickly got in so I could go home as well. Allison inserted the key into the ignition and began backing out.

"Hey, Allison," I began, looking out the window.

"Where's Stiles?" I asked, but she didn't respond. I turned and looked at her, finding her gaze fixed on the road.

"You need to stay away from him," she finally said, glancing over at me.

"Where is he?" I repeated, feeling anxious.

"Echo House," she replied, looking directly at me.

I fell silent, unsure of what to say. Questions flooded my mind one after another.

"Why?" I asked simply, turning my gaze back out the window.

"He wanted to. He said he wanted to keep people safe... keep you safe," she explained, looking over at me.

"Oh, okay," I replied, not wanting to delve further into the conversation. I knew he wasn't safe, but if I mentioned it, they would likely say it was for the best until we figured out how to help him.

I woke up because I heard voices coming from down the hallway. I slipped on my fuzzy slippers and made my way downstairs to where the voices were coming from—my uncle's office. I opened the doors and found Scott, Allison, Lydia, and the twins gathered around the desk.

"First of all, y'all are loud as hell. I heard you upstairs. And second, what time were we supposed to have a meeting?" I asked, coming over to sit on the arm of the chair where Ethan was seated.

"Good morning, sunshine," Aiden greeted with a smile, and I couldn't help but flip him off. He chuckled. "Cute."

"What's the plan?" I inquired.

"How did you know?" Scott gave me a questioning look.

"Like I said, loud as hell," I replied, rolling my eyes.

"Well, it doesn't matter what the plan is because it's a bad plan," Scott stated, glancing at me and then at Allison.

"It's not that bad," Lydia shrugged.

"It's not that good," Scott bit his lower lip.

"None of us knows the route they're going to take," Ethan chimed in.

"If Allison can get one of her dad's GPS trackers on the armored car, then we can follow it," Lydia suggested with her usual brilliance.

"So when it gets here... We attack them?" Aiden asked.

"No. Your bikes will be in the middle of the road, looking like you guys got into an accident. And when the driver gets out to help..." Lydia was interrupted by a hyperactive wolf.

"We attack him?" Aiden inquired once more.

"No. You'll distract him, and Scott will break open the back door," Allison finished Lydia's sentence.

"I hope," Scott mumbled, looking at the ground.

"And you'll get Katashi's finger," Allison added.

"It's not his actual finger, is it?" Ethan asked as he paced back and forth. Scott quickly looked up at us when Ethan raised that question.

"You are so out of our league," Lydia shook her head.

"Why aren't we just going to Stilinski for help?" Ethan questioned.

"Because if he gets caught, then it's the Sheriff tampering with federal evidence," I replied, looking over at him.

"Guys, this is going to work. We can do this. We're losing Stiles. My Dad's in jail for murder. We need to do this," Allison urged, trying to reassure everyone as she always did.

A few hours later, we were putting our plan into action, and Kira had joined us.

"Okay, go, Stella," Scott instructed.

I moved quickly and placed the device under the truck. I gave Scott a thumbs-up, but then someone came out, and I swiftly moved to the other side. I heard him pull out his gun, and then the officer suddenly fell to the floor.

Scott, Allison, and Kira ran up to the person and started talking to them. I climbed on top of the car and waited for a moment, but then I jumped on a big guy's back, and he threw me, causing me to hit the wall.

"Shit," I cursed under my breath.

Not many seconds later, I saw that Allison was on the floor as well. His name was Kincaid, as Allison had told me earlier—a big werewolf, I guessed.

Kincaid beat Scott to the ground.

"You may have the eyes of an alpha, but you don't have the strength of one," he growled.

"But we do," the twins, Ethan and Aiden, jumped down from above and began pounding on him. But Lydia yelled, so they stopped.

Kira helped me up from the floor, and I brushed the dust off of me.

"You want him to come after us?" Aiden yelled, growing frustrated.

"Scott, we've seen guys like this. Trust us. He's dangerous," Ethan warned us.

"So are we. And he looks smart enough to remember that. We're here to save a life, not end one," Scott declared as he dug into Kincaid's coat and grabbed the scroll from him.

We all started walking away, and I was right behind them. However, I turned and looked at Kincaid.

"Oh, also," I punched him in the face. He grunted and spat out more blood. "That's for throwing me."

"Stella!" Scott called my name.

I turned and looked at him, giving him a smirk.
