*Vision*

( this point of view is by Brianne's subconscious- Persephone. Just to clear up any confusion.)

***Persephone's P. O. V***

I woke up in the same meadow as before. I couldn't forget the vibrant and colorful flowers that littered the meadow floor.  The same tall,  bright green blades of grass caressed my legs. 

Noticing they we're bare,  I looked down and smiled when I saw the leaves covering my body. I reached my hand up and touched the wreath of vines on top of my head. 

I turned around and watched the little animals jump around in the meadow.  The birds chirping happily with their families in their nests. 

I felt the sun peeking through the clouds.  I felt the warmth against my back and smiled,  tilting my head up to face the sun. 

Then,  suddenly,  it all changed. The clouds rolled in with the sound of thunder.  The tiny animals bouncing around disappeared as the wind blew fiercely around me.  The sun was covered back up by the rolling clouds.

The distant sounds of wings beating, drew my attention.  I looked around for the source of the wings,  but found nothing.  And from what it sounded like,  there were a lot of birds flying.

"Hello, my love." Erebus.

"Erebus.  I should have known.  Why are you here?"

"You know why I'm here."

"You know I will never submit. So pick another reason to be here."

"I simply can not.  You will submit in time."

"Then what of Nyx,  the goddess of night?  Is she not a consort of yours anymore?"

"I would say no.  She is simply not to be found. I need someone else to take her place."

"You are only looking for someone to warm her place in your bed until she comes back."

"Seems so,  but isn't that how our gods work?"

"Not ones with a heart. You want nothing more than a toy." I was fuming with anger. "What do you means she can not be found?"

"She has left.  Nyx has disappeared,  no one has been able to find her. But I can feel that she is still very alive."

"Then shouldn't you be trying to find her?"

"I have no desire to look for her.  You have caught my attention. Therefore,  I have no need for her anymore."

"She is your mate. You are to be by her side all the time."

"It's unusual how you know all there is to know about Nyx and I.  But Brianne knows nothing. How is that?"

"Brianne has not fully embraced being a goddess.  Therefore,  she has no knowledge of our kind- except for the knowledge from books."

"She must not know of Nyx."

"I will give her all the knowledge she needs in order to make her decision. She will remember every nightmare she has with you. But I will be there to comfort her."

"I guess that is fair. Make sure to add I'm an excellent lover."

"That is no fact.  Just opinion,  and a terrible one,  if I must add."

Erebus chuckled. "You sound exactly like Brianne."

"We are one and the same."

My chest felt heavy,  and my throat dry. My head was pounding- I could hear a constant ringing in the background.
