Author's note: This was written in 2016 so it's a ~different timeline.~ This is post-AOU where pietro lived, earlier seasons of the flash where he only did weird speed stuff a handful of times and before crisis on infinite earths where supergirl and the flash/arrow worlds were combined.

It was true; Pietro was getting faster. And you weren't quite sure if you were terrified of this or happy for him.

Ever since the Battle of Sokovia, he kept telling you he needed to get faster. He couldn't dodge those bullets, and it was a miracle that the team had access to such amazing doctors; he wasn't going to misuse his second chance at life.

So he wanted to be faster. He wanted to be able to dodge any millions of bullets that came his way. He wanted to save anyone who needed it; he wanted his speed to help.

You, of course, worked with him. Bruce also worked on figuring out how to make him faster. Some attempts ended in Pietro passing out as he was testing whatever would help; some ended in it going away after ten minutes. But this, this finally worked.

You and Bruce came up with something that went under his clothes that would give him more speed. And if he wore that for a few days, it would become permanent.

"You're getting faster!" You cheered when Pietro stopped running right in front of you.

"I think that calls for some celebration ice cream. Where would you like to go?" Pietro picked you up and waited for your instruction.

"Hold on," Tony's voice echoed through the training room, "Bruce told me I have to see how much you've improved, sonic."

Pietro sighed and put you down, "I'll make it quick," He winked; joking about his own speed always made him laugh.

Pietro started to run around the room again, going faster than even two minutes before. "Throw some ice at him," Tony told you.

"What?"

"I need to see if he can dodge with this extreme speed. Come on," Tony enticed.

You sighed and put your hands up. Taking a deep breath, you started to hurl ice balls that formed in your hands.

After a minute of Pietro dodging what was thrown at him, Tony nodded and decided he was good enough. "Don't tell him I left."

You laughed and stopped throwing ice. A few seconds later, Pietro stopped running in front of you with wide eyes.

"I-I'm, what just... what?" He was breathing heavily, and you were confused by what just happened.

"What do you mean?" You raised your eyebrows, "You're going faster!"

"No, not that," He put his hand on your shoulder, "I just saw what happened a year ago. I vanished from here for a second and saw everything from last year-"

"Are you saying you traveled through time?" You cut him off.

"Yes, I don't know how, but I did. I don't think I touched anything, just tried to get back as quick as possible," Pietro sighed, hoping everything was alright. "Where's Stark?" He asked.

This was your chance to prank him. He was always playing jokes on you; it was your turn to get him back. "Uh, why do you ask that?" You said quietly, "Oh right, you time traveled. Was he alive before you left? Well, he died at the Battle of Sokovia when he saved Clint and a little boy from Ultron," You looked down.
