Y/N frowned at she saw Steve's face on the TV screen and immediately shut it off.

Her finger hit the red button roughly then, slamming it down on the coffee table.

She got up, abruptly.

Steve and her had a good relationship in the past.

Working in SHIELD earned her a good spot in the Avengers, being able to camouflage and blend into her surroundings.

But then, Steve left.

He didn't even leave her a not or a text. They were complicated, but it still hurt Y/N.

He just stopped visiting her and stop talking to her. After conferences, he would just ignore her.

And eventually, Y/N gave up.

After trying to talk to him, she just decided to leave.

She left the Avengers.

Right after the Ultron incident, she left to live a small quiet life using her billion worth life savings from SHIELD. Occasionally working small missions to earn some extra money. Last mission was two years ago.

Now, the news was infested with the bombing in the building somewhere in Europe. Apparently, It was all the Winter Soldiers fault.

A couple minutes later, the door knocked.

Y/N frowned, grabbing her gun by the couch as she walked cautiously to the front door. She peeked through the peep hole and saw Tony looking at his, probably $1000 watch.

She let out a audible sigh of relief.

Y/N had some incidents involving with HYDRA.

She flung the door open and glared at the cocky millionaire. Excuse me, billionaire.

"What?" She asked, ticked off.

"Well, hello to you to." Tony mused,

"I told you guys, I'm out." Y/N complained, letting him in.

"We really need you." Tony said, "Steve won't sign the contract."

"I heard." She said, "They tried to get me to sign it, but I said I'm retired."

"So you understand?"

"Yes, but I could give less shit." Y/N scoffed.

"But you're Steve's weak spot." Tony protested.

Y/N snorted, "Pu-Lease" She scoffed.

"You should see lover boys face whenever Nat interrogated him," Tony said, rolling his eyes, "He gets all sad like a kicked puppy. It's disgusting."

"Yeah, like Bruce when he gushes about the Hulk." She retorted back.

"Y/N." Tony said, serious. "You are our only hope."

"What about Vision?" Y/N said, sitting down on her couch.

"Please." Y/N looked at Tony's face of sincerity.

"Is it hard being serious?" She joked.

"Kinda." Tony shrugged.

A silence sat in the air as Tony waited impatiently for Y/N's answer.

"Fine."

He broke out into a smile.

"Yes!" He fist pumped the air.

"Just tell me when do you leave me." Y/N sighed.

"No need, we need you now."

She frowned, looking out the window.

"Alright, just let me get my suit."

"I'll be waiting in the car."

As Tony left with a click, Y/N sighed, tiredly and looked at the closet through her open bedroom window.

She saw the black and white sit she never wore in two years.

'some how, my past always seem to catch up to me.' Y/N thought.
