~Dan's POV~
*4 days later*
Friday, the day we had to go home. Jean hadn't talked to me since I kissed her. She hadn't even looked at me since then. I knew forcing her to talk would make things worse so I didn't do anything. Everyone went to lunch and Jean followed me back to our room. (An oddity since she had been staying in Ivan's room.)
"What are you doing?" I asked, as we went inside.
"Dan, do you love me?"
"Uhm ... w-well ... I- I-"
"Yes or no. Do you love me?" she demanded with a stern tone.
"Yes."
"Then say it."
"Jeanette Ebony Lockheart, I love you," I said, loudly.
She smiled and jumped to cling around my neck. I wrapped my arms around her waist and held her up.
"Daniel James Howell, I love you too," she whispered, with her face to my neck.
She leaned back in my arms. I had never seen her happier.
"Prove it," I smirked.
She leaned in and kissed me. It was more passionate and genuine than anything I have ever felt.
