~Dan's POV~

Lying to Jean felt wrong but I had to be alone for awhile. I escaped to the downstairs ballroom in the hotel. I sat in the corner, sorting through my thoughts. After twenty minutes, I heard the door open. A girl walked in, I sat still, hoping she wouldn't see me. My phone fell out of my back pocket, onto the wood floor and she turned to me.

"Who are you?" she demanded, walking closer.

"I'm Dan. Who are you?"

"I'm Elise. What are you doing here?"

"I came here to think. What about you?"

She sat down in front of me, "I'm here to think as well."

"Have you done this before?"

"I do it a lot."

I crisscrossed my legs and sat up, "How long have you been staying in the hotel?"

"I live here."

"Why?"

"My parents wanted to come to America. They said the hotel would be temporary, but we've been living here for almost a year."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

"You sound Irish. Are you?"

"Yeah. Limerick born and raised."

"That's awesome. I love Ireland."

"It's alright. Anyways what are you thinking about?"

"I'm trying to figure out how I should tell a girl that I'm in love with her."

"Don't say anything. Just kiss her."

"If I had any confidence, that would work."

"You can do it. Just go to her."

"What time is it?"

"11:46."

"Shit! I have to go," I exclaimed, getting to my feet.

"I'll see you around, Dan."

"Bye, Elise. Oh! Thanks for helping me!" I shouted, hurrying to the door.

I ran into the main lobby and saw Jack and Phil.

"Hi guys," I smiled, stopping in front of them.

"Where have you been?" Phil demanded.

"I had a few things to do before we left."

"They couldn't wait?" Phil scolded.

"No. Now where is Jean?"

"She went with Mark," Jack replied.

"Where are they?"

Both of them shrugged. I sighed and ran to the elevator. When I got to our room, she had already left.

Hoi!

The second chapter of this week. I may upload more but no promises. Also, Elise is a random new character. She probably won't stick around unless there's a need for her. But if you want her to be a regular, definitely tell me in the comments.

Signing off,

Kat
