Chapter 11

Sara's POV
"Come on kiddos, we don't have all day! Pick a car!" I say.
The three of them are going back and forth on deciding in which car they want to go. Both Jessica and I drove to Chris's to pick the kids but I need to run to the grocery store to restore my fridge and Jess needs to go grab some clothes from her house to bring to mine for the night.
"I'm going with mommy!" Eve says and puts her foot down. Jess and I cross looks and laugh.
"Which mommy?" Jess asks.
"I'm not sure yet.." She says and we laugh again.
"Ok! Let's go by luck! I'll "rock paper scissor" for each of the kids!" Jess says and I nod.
We step closer to each other.
"At the best of three?" I ask.
"At the best of three!" Jess agrees.
The kids come by us to find their fate.
"For Luke!" I say.
"Rock paper scissor!... Yes!" I say after winning. Jessica gives me a look.
"Rock paper scissor... Oh..."
"Yes!" Jessica says.
"Rock paper scissor... Yes!" I say. "Luke you're with me!" I say looking back at Luke and he smiles and gets in the car.
"For Eve.." Jess says.
"For Eve!" I say. Eve's eyes are locked in our hands.
"Rock paper scissor!"
"Yes!" Jess says and gives Eve an high five.
"Rock paper scissor... No!!!"
"Ahaha you lost!" Jessica says mocking me and Eve gets in her car.
"For Poppy!" Jessica says.
"For Poppy!" I say.
I look to Poppy to smile at her but her eyes are on our hands like the faith of her life depend on it.
"Rock paper scissors.. Yes!" I say.
"Rock paper scissors..."
"Yes!" Jessica says.
"Oh you're going down blondie!" I smirk at her and Jess smirks back.
"In your dreams!" She says.
We go again. "Rock paper scissors... Yes!" I jump.
I pick Poppy from the ground and rest her on my lap.
"See you at the house!" I give Jess a kiss on the cheek. She's still still, not believing she lost.
"Luck we got Poppy too!" I say opening the car door.
"Yeah!!" He says proud and I lock Poppy in.

Jessica's POV
"Just you and me girl!" I say getting in the car.
"What? Oh..." Eve says.
The thing that I love the most about my kids is the bond they have together and how they hate to be separated.
"Hey! Don't grouch! Mommy and you time!" I say driving out of Chris's driveway.
"I bet Luke and Poppy are going to have so much fun..." She says looking out the window.
"Are you saying I'm not fun? Oh I can be fun!" I say.
Eve looks at me thro the review mirror.
"What do you think about ice cream?" I ask her.
Eve gives me her best Evie smile.
"Before dinner?" She asks.
"Before dinner!" I say.
Eve smiles and I smile too.
Ring ring ring
"Eve no talking about us getting ice cream to mommy ok?" I ask her.
Eve nods and I answer the call on my car bottom.
"Hey, you're on speaker!" I say.
"Hey! Just wondering what you want to do for dinner.." Sara says.
"We're going eat to ice cream!" Eve says.
"Eve..." I say looking at her.
"Nhmm.... Before dinner?" I hear Luke ask from Callie's speaker.
"Before dinner!" Eve answers.
"Eve! Quiet!" I say and she smiles.
"Low move!" Sara says.
"See you at home! Love you!"
"Hmhm..." She says and hangs up.

I grab my things from my house and after taking Eve for ice cream I drive to Sara's.
When we get there I let Eve play downstairs as I go put my bag upstairs and go to the bathroom.
When I get downstairs and after not hearing them inside, walking outside my heart melts.
Sara is sitting on one of her beach chairs letting Eve, who is sitting on her lap, tell her all about her drive with me and the trip to the ice cream place.
Luke and Poppy are playing by the pool, Sara not taking her eye of the two of them.
"Hey mommy!" Luke says finding me at the window doors frame.
Sara looks at me.
"Hey!" I say and step outside.
Sara tells Eve to go play and I walk and take Eve's place in her lap.
Sara rests her arms in my waist.
"Hey pretty lady!" She says and I give her a soft kiss on the lips.
"Hey love!" I say pulling back.
"How was your play date?" She asks me.
"Good! How was yours?" I ask her.
"Perfect! Had to get the kids some gummies at the grocery store but it was the best!"
I give her another kiss and Sara caresses my cheek.
Pulling back she says:
"What flavor your ice cream? Your lips don't taste like anything!" She says surprised.
"None! I saved myself for the best desert!" I say and wink at her.
Sara opens her eyes in surprise.
"Oh really?" She asks.
"Hmhm..." I say and kiss her neck.

Sara's POV
We stay like that, enjoying each other and the kids for a while until it's starts to get hot, even though it's like 5 pm.
"Kids go get your bathing suits on!" I say and they all jump and start running inside the house.
"I'm going to go help Poppy!" I say getting up.
Jessica pulls me back for another kiss and then says:
"Why don't you go out your bikini on as well?" She asks.
I smile at her. "So you want you desert now my dear?" I ask teasing her.
"Yes please!" She says. I pull her up with me. I smack her butt.
"Go get yours on too!" I say getting into the house and Jess follows me.
