Interviewing TrivStar

1.   How are you today?

·         I'm very good! I've got the day off of school for the Melbourne Cup so I'm just at home relaxing, waiting for the pizza I ordered to come >.< But I've got a massive exam on Friday so...

2.    When and how did you join WattPad?

·         I joined Wattpad early 2012 after Inkpop (another writing site) shut down and we were forced to find a new place. Inkpop merged with Figment but because that website wasn't very good most Inkies decided to come to Wattpad. And that's how I did it!

3.    What are your motivations for writing?

·         My motivation for writing is just that it's my passion and I love it. I don't know what I'd do if someone told me I couldn't write. I don't have to force myself to write, it's like a craving! As for the inspiration for what I write, I usually find inspiration and motivation for particular stories in the world around me, especially in current events and politics/ history (kind of boring, I know, Haha)

4.    What book are you working on at the moment?

·         At the moment I'm working on a book called Completely Definitely Gray, but the book that I am promoting and focusing on is Killing (And Other Games).

5.   Who would you like to see playing a character in your book?

·         I'd love to see Hailee Steinfeld play Immy--I've always imagined Immy as young but with more mature features and a smoky voice, like Hailee.

6.   What is the hardest thing about writing? And what is the easiest thing about writing?

·         The easiest thing about writing, for me, is losing myself in the writing. Once I get going I can go for hours and it's so exciting to explore new worlds through words. I also find coming up with characters and ideas quite easy. And the hardest part? Just about everything else! I'd say finding the time and getting everything exactly as I imagine it in my head, translated into words, is the tougher part. Oh and editing. I think every writer on this planet hates editing.

7.   Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?

·         I'd love to meet so many people but if I really had to pick it'd be Shakespeare just because there's so much mystery surrounding him, and because he's such an incredible writer I'd want to learn his secrets!

8.   What advice would you give to other WattPaders?

·         I'd say don't give up on your book. If you've written something great but it's getting no reads just promote, promote, promote and you'll get reads in no time!

9.   Do you play any sports?

·         Yes, as an Australian it's kind of a requirement! I play field Hockey for school 3 times a week and for a club 2 times a week. I play Volleyball in the summer 3 times a week and I swim competitively for my state.

10.   Favorite Food?

·         My favorite food is Buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce. I don't know why it's just so yummy!

11.   Favorite Movie?

·         That's a really, really tough question...The movie I've watched the most is probably Amadeus or Tropic Thunder but my favorite movie is probably 2001: A Space Odyssey or Stoker or...I don't know, I just love all film to be honest.

12.   Favorite Book on wattpad?

·         Inner Demon by Lady_Lucia

13.   Do you like Nutella?

·         Sure! But not as much as Vegemite...

14.   Describe yourself in one word.

·         Determined

15.   Who's your celebrity crush?

·         My celebrity crush changes all the time but I've always loved Drew Roy and Dane Deehan. Oh and Evan Peters! Honestly, I have a crush on most celebrities Haha

16.   Would you rather be ugly and marry a good looking person or be good looking and marry an ugly person?

·         I think good looking and marry an ugly person, because obviously you really like them so you think they're good looking on the inside, but you won't be insecure in the relationship. Haha!

17.   What kind of music do you like?

·         I like grunge and electro-pop, but honestly I'll listen to anything.

18.   If you were stranded on a deserted island, what are the five things that you would want to have with you?

·         A library full of books endless books

·         A fridge with endless food and water

·          The tents in Harry Potter that are actually massive on the inside

·         Someone really fun to hang out with (and preferably with survival skills!)

·         A phone with service

But I guess most of that is cheating, isn't it?

19.   What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?

·         I always believed I was the only person in the world and that whenever I left the room everyone just froze in place and waited for me to come back...Weeeiirddd

20.   If you could steal one thing without consequence what would it be?

·         I'd steal information like everyone’s bank account numbers...for obvious reasons
