Interview with @alanna234

1.      How are you today?

-I’m still recovering from a bad cold that I’ve had all week but other than that I’m doing fine.

2.     When and how did you join WattPad?

-It was by chance actually. Back in...July I think it was I was trying to get some help with my writing and also help some others out so I started using Yahoo Answers because they have a whole writing category. But then I kept seeing these questions of “Will you read my story” but no prologue or summary to go with it. Eventually I was annoyed enough to go to the website they all pointed to Dun dun Dun…WattPad. And here we are.

3.     Who or what inspired you to write?

-No one in my family writes but I grew up reading and writing but I have to say that the author Ally Carter of the Gallagher Girls series is my role model. I also kind of won an award over the summer for a short story, nothing huge or anything but being home schooled that was my first time anyone else ever Read my work, so it was a complete surprise to actually win, so that makes me pace myself and write only things worthy of being remembered.

4.     What advice would you give to aspiring writers? *raises hand*

-I would say, don't put a lot of detail into the small things to fill up page space. I know it can be tempting to explain everything about an outfit or something along those lines, but it causes me to just skin the page instead of reading it carefully. And to also start your book not with a back story but with a conversation, that's the best thing I've learned.

5.     Who would you like to see playing a character in your book?

-THAT is a good question. *Clap clap*

But I think I would most like to see Niall Matter play Adam in What Started in Paris only because that's who his character was fashioned around.

6.     Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?       

-Probably finishing my studies to become a Professor of some sort, and hopefully helping the younger population develop an interest in writing. If not I'll be in Amsterdam living off of potato chips and sleeping on a bench, gaining life experiences but hopefully avoid being robbed of my few remaining dollars.

7.     Do you play any musical instruments?

-I am in no way musically inclined, a fact that I am even ashamed of when I listen to Mayday Parade and want to play along to the piano.

 8.    What’s your Favorite Food?

-NUTELLA

9.     Do you play any sports?

-Does bike riding count?

 10.   What’s your favorite movie?

-I am Legend, with the alternate ending.

11.  Who’s your favorite Author/Book?

-Published: James Dashner

12.Describe yourself in one Word.

-Lazy

13.Do you stalk people? (By Google-ing them or going through their pictures on social networking sites or other sites)

-Truthfully no, I'm very much into giving people (celebrities) their personal space. I wouldn't want someone stalking me so I try to return the favor.

14.When/who was your first crush?

-Hmm, well I don't remember my first celebrity crush anyway. When I was, 12 I had a crush on this guy who went to my church and being the 12 year old that I was I went to a roller skating party he was at and tried my best to 'impress' him. Instead my grandmother fell on the rink and twisted her arm causing us to have to leave and spend the night in the emergency room. But no worries, he has a little stuck up girlfriend now and I haven't seen him in a year. That, Word.

15.What’s your Favorite Song at the moment?

-THAT is also a good question but at the moment it is:  Headfirst slide into Cooperstown on a bad bet -Fall Out Boy

16.What’s your favorite Vacation destination?

-I love Gulf Shores Alabama.

17.What are your Hobbies?

-Well besides writing and reading I love photography.

18.Are you currently in a relationship?

-I currently am not. But I do have a very good guy friend who, I just found out today, everyone thinks I'm dating. Awkward: 0

19.Best Prank you’ve ever pulled?

-You mean more hard core than jumping out from behind a door??   *collective gasp*

Yeah never been one for pranks, all though I did dress my boy cousin up in a silk slip and hat when I was maybe 5. That was pretty funny.

 20.   Have you done anything you regret?

-I dated a guy from Nicaragua once, online. Just no.
