When Lilly found Brady, he was still on the beach. He lay spread out on the beach towel they had laid out earlier, nibbling on a piece of watermelon from their picnic. She sat down beside him and ran her fingers through his hair.

"Hey."

"Hey yourself," she replied.

"So how'd things go with Mikayla?"

"I'm not really sure, but I think things are fine now."

"That's good," he said absent mindedly.

"You okay?"

"Yeah," he said with a sigh. "Just thinking of Mikayla's behavior. It was so weird and not like her. It was almost like she was jealous," he said with a laugh.

"Maybe she was."

"Nah. She's not the jealous type. Besides, she never liked me before. And I haven't changed that much. Why would things be any different?"

"Well I can't speak for her, but I think you're pretty fantastic."

"Thanks," he said, twirling some of her hair around his finger.

Just then he noticed his guitar case laying on the opposite side of them. "What's that for?"

"Music," he said nonchalantly.

"Well I know that. But why is it here? Are you going to play me a song?"

"Not just any song. A new song that I wrote."

"Yay!"

He laughed t her excitement then pulled out his guitar. "Now I'm still working on it, so don't laugh." And with that, he started to play.

When I hear your name, my heart beats faster,

When I see your face, I grow bright red,

I can't help this feeling, that I get when I'm with you,

As you can see, I love you, (beat)

I love you, can't you see it's true,

I love you, it's as plain as plain can be,

I love you, (beat)

My mind is telling me, to stay away from here,

so I don't embarrass, myself in front of you,

But my heart and soul, well that's a different story,

Is telling me to be, as close as I can be, (beat)

I love you, can't you see it's true,

I love you, it's as plain as plain can be,

I love you, I love, love, love,

I love you, love, love you,

I love you, yeah.

"So," Brady said looking at her. "What'd you think?"

"I loved it, " she said throwing her arms around him. "I have to be the luckiest girl alive." Then she planted a great big kiss on his cheek and they watched the sunset as he played his guitar.
