Draco Malfoy ~ Late Night Thunderstorms and Music

You were lying in bed trying to fall asleep while listening to the rain coming down onto the window. Then there was a sudden boom going throughout the house. You whimpered and curled up into a ball. Suddenly an arm wrapped around you pulling closer to them. You flinch slightly forgetting that Draco is in bed with you.

"You okay, Love?" Draco asks while having you in a protective embrace

You shiver slightly feeling his warm breath against your bare skin. There was another loud crack of thunder and the rain started to pound down onto your windows. You whimpered again this time turning rolling over and burying your head into Draco's chest, "Damn bloody storm." You mumble while clutching to Draco.

You here a light chuckle rumble from Draco's chest, "I'm here for you." He whispers while rubbing circles on your back.

As the thunder boomed and rattled the house you clung tighter onto Draco. You tightly shut your eyes trying to block out the loud noises and from seeing the flashes of lightning from outside. Draco's hand then gently lifted your chin up as he looked at you, "Hey, everything going to be fine just look at me." He says reassuringly.

Your eyes flutter open and you meet Draco's gaze. His cold Gray eyes now seem warm and inviting as he smiles at you. You then break the gaze as your eyes flicker down to his lips. You bite your lip and close your eyes once more as the thunder claps.

Draco then shifts as he tries to get up, "Where are going? Don't leave me." You beg while clinging onto Draco.

"It's okay," He smiles, "just putting some music on to try and block out the sound.' He says while giving you a kiss on the forehead.

You nod as he gets up and turns on the music to the Lumineers. You smile in content as you hear it come on. As he gets back into bed you lie your head on his chest listening to his heart beat. As you started to feel yourself calm down you heard the famaliar tune of that song. The song that made you break down every time you heard it. 'The Gale Song.' As the song started you felt yourself close your eyes and listen to the lyrics. You had somehow interpretated each lyric into you and Draco's relationship.

When you first met Draco you knew he was in pain. You could always see right through him And wondered how he could put up with that pain. Everytime you were on the train to Hogwarts you couldn't wait to see him to muster up the courage to finally talk to him.

And all this too shall pass
This loneliness won't last for long
I wasn't there to take his place
I was ten thousand miles away

As you got older you felt something for Draco. You denied it and decided to fill that something by dating someone else. Then when he broke up with you Draco was distant he didn't even talk to you. As the time passed he finally filled that void with happiness and made you feel loved and whole.

Draco didn't tell you anything all he did was break your heart. He left you, but all you could think about was the pain you saw as he broke up with you and you always thought about him.

Once you found out that Draco was an Death Eater you knew he was fighting, but just for the wrong side. You still were deeply in love with Draco and thought you could convince him to see the right. Once he didn't listen you put on a brave face and continued on strong.

You still had hope for Draco to see the right thing and wanted to wait, but you started to loose the hope and slowly let Draco go.

And he fell apart

You noticed that both of you were a mess without each other. With all of the deaths from the war both of you lost many who were close and it felt like both of your guys fault.

As the song ended you noticed that a damp splotches were on Draco's shirt.

"Hey you okay?" Draco asks while stroking your head.

You nod, "Yeah its just that song always reminds me of regrets, bad choices I made." You say murmur.

Draco smiles and lifts your chin up gently, "Hey leave all that in the past. We're here now in the present, together."

You nod as you wipe the tears away from your face. You hear the light pitter patter of rain on the window and the low rumble of thunder in the distance making you flinch.

"Hey, look at me. I'm here for you." Draco says while looking you in the eyes.

You nod and keep your gaze locked. Draco then leans in giving you a gentle kiss on the lips. "I will always be here for you, (y/n), and I will always love you my dear."

You nod and smile while nuzzling into the crook of his neck, " I love you too." You reply as you slowly fall asleep in his arms.
