Chapter 38: She's Back

She's Back

HUNTER'S POV

Its been two weeks and she haven't waken. Wala paring progress ang kalagayan niya. At halos dalawang linggo narin akong walang tulog. How can I sleep when I smell her all around the room? Our bed feels empty without her. At some times, I go to her hospital room and stay awake for the whole night just watching her small frame in the bed hoping that she would open her eyes any time.

Gusto kong ako ang una niyang makita paggising niya. Ang mga sugat sa leeg niya na gawa ni Matteo ay malapit nang maghilom. Pumasok sina Aspen at Jake at bahagyang ngumiti sa akin. They looked at Kyra then sat beside me in the sofa.

"She's going to wake up. Thats for sure. She's a fighter." Jake tapped my back.

"I know. Hindi ako nawawalan ng pag-asa na isang araw, gigising din siya at babalik na sa normal ang lahat." Sagot ko.

"But, Alpha. What about school?" Tanong ni Aspen na nasa kabilang gilid ko. Dalawang linggo narin kasi akong hindi pumapasok sa school at siguradong drop na kami ni Kyra sa mga subject namin. It's okay, we can still go back to school next semester together.

"We will go back next semester." Sagot ko kahit na hindi ako siguradong gising na si Kyra para sa susunod na semester.

"You need to rest Alpha. Seriously, I haven't seen you sleep for two weeks!" Jake exclaimed and I realized it's true. I do sleep but it can't even considered sleep. Maybe a nap.

"Right. Kayo muna magbantay kay Kyra." Bilin ko na tumayo patungo sa higaan ni Kyra. I kissed her forhead and whispered to her ear.

"I'll leave you for a moment, love. I'll be back later." Bulong ko sa tenga niya. Ayon kay Zeno, kahit wala siyang malay, naririnig niya ang nasa paligid niya kaya naman lagi ko siyang kinaka-usap. I like talking to her even though I don't get any response.

I went back to our room, laid in our bed and let sleep consume me.

I was casually leaning against the hood of my red camaro when I smelt the most amazing scent ever. It's intoxicating. I turned my head to the side to look where its coming from. Then I saw a girl on the other side of the street. She looks so small and though I can't see her face clearly, I can feel her fear. May hawak siyang plastik na may lamang mga groceries sa kanyang kaliwang kamay. Mabilis niyang binabaybay ang kalsada at pasulyap-sulyap sa paligid niya.

Sa eksaktong oras na iyon, alam ko at walang kaduda-dudang siya ang mate ko. Napatingin siya sa direksyon ko at agad kong tinanggal ang shades na suot ko. We locked eyes for a moment before she looked away and started walking really fast.

"Mate" bulong ko at tumawid sa kabilang kalsada at sinundan siya mula sa likuran. Im a good fifteen meters away from her. She was walking really fast. How can a small girl like her walk that fast?

"Sandali!" Sigaw ko pero laking gulat ko nang bigla nalang siyang sumigaw at tumakbo patungo sa isang bahay.

What's wrong with her? Is she afraid of me? Sinundan ko siya sa pinasukan niyang bahay. Napansin kong bukas ang ilaw sa isa sa mga kwarto kaya pumunta ako sa tapat nito kung saan maraming puno at saka nagbagong anyong lobo. But not before taking off all my clothes. Because our clothes tends to break everytime we turn into our wolf form.

My wolf is almost six feet high making me able to look at the window easily. And also thanks to my clear vision. I saw her enter a room and walk towards her open window, her mouth is full like she's been eating something.

I swear, she was looking straight at me because she was frozen in her spot for a moment before closing the window immediately. She's beautiful. I released a howl before returning to human form and going back to my car. I will have her. I promised to myself.
