No one P.O.V

...

Silence hung over the cell rooms as the two cell mates patiently waited for the right opportunity. Only recently, the two had discovered that they were the remaining evo's in this section of the prison. the only cries in the night came from either Amber herself or her neighbour Kenn.

Amber sat on her elevated bed, swinging her legs back and fourth with her head leaning on the wall, waiting for the right time.

She could feel the rumbling in her stomach, which seemed to fill the empty room.

Kenn was slightly different. He lay down on his own bed, back facing the cell wall.

The rattling of the door opening caught Amber's attention, with her head snapping straight towards the sound.

With a deep breath, she watched as the guard walked past, looking into her cell with an amused smirk, before going over to Kenn's cell.

The blue bars moves around his hand, due to the White watch he wore, allowing him to pass through the lasers for a full arms length, Before placing the tray on the ground, complete with mashed potatoes, peas and a sausage. The gaurd then grabbed out a plastic cup and placed it onto the floor.

There was something really quite unpleasant about having those bits of food on a plate. It didn't look awful, just tasted weird.

Amber just assumed that it was the way that it was. Just be issue she was in such a bad place that the general emotion in the air seeped into the food.

The guard turned towards Amber, with that smirk returning to his face. It sent shivers down her spine, the way he looked at her. She was only...21? Or 20? She had be here for so long that she fouls the remember how old she was. She didn't even know what time of year it was.

She watched his movements carefully, making sure he does everything the exact same every time he had done in the past. He grabbed the plate, and put it on the ground, almost never tearing his eyes away from her own. The lustful look in her eyes sent her stomach turning, but she just had to focus.

Then; he reached for the water, bringing it into the cell.

It seemed as if time slowed down in that one instance, when the plan came into action.

Amber jumped from her seat, reaching out for the hand in her cell, which was being pulled back almost as fast. Almost.

Her hand latched onto the guards wrist as he pulled back through those bars, taking her arm with her.

For the first time in forever, she was able to feel her energy flowing through hand once it touched the air outside of her cell. And it felt great.

She couldn't help but grin as she felt energy flowing through her hand, and the relief she felt that she could actually use it.

The panic on the guards face told Amber that he knew what was going to happen next. She began to drain the colour from his arm.

However, it burned. It felt like there was fire wrapped around her arm, or how her mum would hold onto her hand when she was ticked off, but this was much worse.

The guard began to collapse, feeling his energy being drained along with his colour, and with one good tug from Amber, his arm was back inside the Evo cell, with the watch included.

She smirked at the irony of having a white watch around his wrist, which couldn't be taken off by an Evo, it's a good thing the cell stops Evo powers, making her temporarily human.

"Now how the frig do i open the door?" She calls out to Ken in the opposing cell, as she hurries to put on the watch.

"Just press the release button, then pull the lever." He replies, indicating to the board next to her cell door.

"You're going to have to guide me, because i can't see out of the cell." She realises as she begins to stick her arm out for the switch board.

She felt over the entriety of the board, feeling only two buttons. "Which one is it?" She says in a panic, finding the switch in the process. Ken narrowed his eyes, moving his head around, trying to get the best view of the board, but to no avail.

"I have no idea," He states.

He recieved a glare from Amber, "How the frig could you not know which one it is? You said you were good with electronics!" She shouted, slamming her fist on the closest button. Nothing seemed to happen, no flashing lights or anything. So, Amber assumed it was a good thing.

"I'm good with electricity, not necessarily electronics." He says as she pulls down the switch, stopping the blue barrier from being there.

Amber couldn't help but be proud of herself as she stumbeld out of the cell, feeling ehr powers return to her. She had a proud grin on her face, and so did the blonde boy opposite her as she rushed to the panel next to his door, slamming her fist onto the first button.

The lights began to flash. "That's not meant to happen."
