"Keith can't go with you." the King ordered as we made the teams.

"Why?" I asked furiously. "If I remember well, it is about my dad after all."

"Yes, indeed it is. However, how can I trust my son's mate to two savages?"

"I am not the Prince mate!" I roared furiously. "You speak of me like that one more time and I'll ensure the Prince will not have me if he wins."

"Watch your tongue!" interfered the guards. but he told them to keep silence.

"What I wanted to say was if you three were to flee, remember that we still hold your wings and..." he approached so he could whisper into my ear. "Your family."

"You do not need to remember me. I'll keep my word as promised. I only hope you'll hold yours... Even if your son were to lose. That means I'll have my wings back no matter what." I answered back with my arms crossed.

I could see the anger appearing on the King's face, but he just clenched his fist and exited the room with the guards. I sighed in relief and leaned on my mate's chest. Then I finally remembered the woman Ryan was with before the arguing. I turned to met the woman, she looked nothing like Ryan, but her wings were... Similar. They were pitch black almost like a snake skin, but there were no spikes. She had dark long hair with eyes of the same color. She was a tall and lean woman, not as tall as Ryan, but a bit more than me. Everything in her screamed power and confidence too. It was as if, all Ignis people were born to be a warrior, a knight.

"I'm sorry for my behavior. Nice to meet you, I'm Keith Vanburen." I greeted with my hand out.

"No worries, I'm Helena Carter. The pleasure is mine." she greeted me back with a solid handshake and a smile.

After the formalities and some information exchanges, we all also excited the room too and went to the garden. It appeared like the Prince was having a public speech. At first, I didn't really care what he was talking about, but more I listened more I was angry again. He was talking about the "contest" we would be having and that he would "save" me from the clutched of the enemy who appeared to have washed my mind. I was about to go on the stage and shut the man up, not thinking about the cost, but I was stopped by Ryan.

"Don't. He wants you angry, so he can show everyone he was right. That we made you a "savage" too." he warned, but before I could do anything, someone punched the Prince in my stead.

We all looked to the stage, to see someone on the Prince who was pushed on his back. Then we heard yelling and more punching. I immediately recognized the voice, Sebastian! I ran to the stage, pushing people out of my way. When I finally reached for my friend, he had beaten the Prince well, he had a broken nose and blood everywhere on his face. It took everything I had to not laugh out loud and to go check on Sebastian who was arrested by the elite.

"Sebastian! Let me pass, you fucker! Sebastian!" I shouted as they started to take him away.

"Bring him to a cell for him to cool down." ordered someone behind me who was the Prince when I looked back.

"What are you going to do with him?" I asked ready to continue what Sebastian started.

"Well, he did attack me, I could have died." he explained.

"You're not going to punish him, will you?" I asked fear in my voice.

"That's negotiable if you give me a kiss." he said as Ryan and Helena came to my side.

"How about that, you punish Sebastian, you'll have to watch for your life if you win. I can be a deadly mate." I said with a firm voice and punched his nose hard before walking away not wanting for my mate to get involved too.

I walked toward the building with the cells. I was fuming with anger, I never taught the King and the Prince were so detestable. Guards were trying to keep me from passing, but they were all lying on the floor now. Fortunately, Ryan was there with me, so he could stop my anger before I killed someone.

"Sebastian!" I shouted at the room filled with cells.

"Here!" he answered with his hand out of his cell as I ran toward him.

"I'm so happy to see you well. But what were you thinking?!?" I scolded him.

"He pissed me off when he talked about you and Ryan that way." he muttered sitting down on the single bed.

I smiled and glanced at my mate when I heard him say Ryan's name too. "I'm happy you and Ryan are in a better relationship now."

"I'm happy to be on your good side too." my mate added with a small smile.

"Yeah, but seems like I won't live long enough to enjoy our new relationship." he muttered his face in his hands.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of the Prince. No harm will be made upon you." I assured my friend.

We talked a bit longer and promised him that I would talk to his family about what happened today. I was sure they would believe me, our family is good friends for a long time now.

A few things I had learned today, one, the Ignis people wasn't as cruel and savage as they taught us they would be. Two, the Prince and the King weren't to be trusted. Three, we had to find my traitor of a father before they do. Or we would be all screwed.
