I locked the doors to the house walking towards the driveway. "Wait let me take your picture, Ro." She spun around from walking posing as if she's been waiting for me to say that. I laughed taking multiple pictures before saying alright. I opened the backseat door of my G-Wagon helping her up into her carseat then buckling her in. I made sure Kai had his seatbelt on then shut the door.
Today is Aurora's third birthday, so I'm throwing her a birthday party. It's crazy how time flies. It feels like just yesterday I gave birth to her and Angelo. This is the first year I haven't been downright depressed on this day. I know I have to put on a smile and make sure her day is perfect. Dave constantly reminds me that the kids pick up whatever emotion I'm having and to be strong.
It's been a month since Dave went in and it's been a rollercoaster. They couldn't make up their mind where they wanted to put him. The first prison had him in protective custody just because of who he was. Dave said he didn't care about that. Then he got moved to general population where he is now, but they pissed me off by moving him all the way to upstate New York. The drive is hours, so so far I've only been able to visit him twice this month.
I pulled up to the place Aurora's birthday party is being held at walking in with her and Kai. As she walked in seeing all of the play areas she looked around not being able to focus on one thing. I opened the door to the room I rented out where everybody was already waiting on us. "All dis for me?" She said touching her chest. I cracked up laughing as we walked into the Princess Aurora from the Disney movie Sleeping Beauty.
