After getting dressed I grabbed my Louis Vuitton never full, phone and keys leaving. I had to go to some law office here in Manhattan to my mother's Last Will and Testament reading. I'll be lucky if she even leaves me a penny. After all, I did throw it in her face how much money I made from stripping and how she'll never make that much. After driving a bit I pulled up to the building going inside. I could see my step-dad and my new brother, Benito in the waiting room. They both stood up. "The one we've been waiting for. Let's go," Thomas said. We went into an office where a man was waiting.

"Have a seat," he said. We all did so. "We are here for the reading of the Last Will and Testament of Benita Burgos. Are the following people present...Thomas Daniels? Bernice Burgos? And Benito Samuels?" I looked over at Benito. His last name is Samuels? What I'm thinking can't be right.

We all nodded our heads. "Okay, let's begin. Benita leaves $30,000 for her step-daughter to be awarded to her by her father if and when she attends college. Benita leaves her son, Benito $40,000 and a personal letter for him not to be opened until in his possession. Lastly, Benita leaves the bulk of her fortune to her daughter, Bernice in the full amount of $80,000 as restitution for what she quote unquote put you through growing up. She also says, You've probably made more then me to date, but I got schmoney too! I love you, Mommy." I laughed a little. She used my words against me from our argument almost two years ago. I had no idea my mom made that much money. She was a hard worker and always worked multiple jobs, but damn. In all that was $150,000 split up between us.

As we walked out I hugged my step-dad. "Why didn't she leave you any money?"

"I told her I don't need it. Your mother finally told me about you guy's relationship. You deserve it. I hope you stay in contact. I've grown a little attached to you, Bernice."

"I definitely will, Thomas."

"I better get an invite to the baby shower," we hugged again before he walked away.

Me and Benito walked towards the parking lot. "Why didn't Belinda come?"

"You see she didn't leave her anything."

"But why?"

"It has to do with where and how Belinda came about. She'll tell you when we go to eat. So, let's go. She's waiting." He went to his car then I went to mine. We met up at an IHOP. We went to the table Belinda was already waiting at. I sat on one side of the booth by myself while they sat across from me. The waitress came. Along with ordering our drinks we went ahead and ordered our food too. I order the same thing every time I come. The split decision with no eggs, but extra sausage. Too bad Dave's not here because he always gives me a section of his chicken fried steak. Excuse my pregnant fat girl moment.
