Amelie

By the time Lory and I were fine and dressed, Anne came in the room to get us.

"We're leaving now. Sorry girls, you'll just have to get your rest back home. Our search is done and the end of the world is coming soon. If we don't go now, I'm not so sure you'll be breathing by the time you want to rest." She said as she closed in on us with her usual smile. Anne had changed a lot too. Her hair was a lot longer now, probably even longer than Lory's. She was taller, but still not surpassing my height and it has always been like that since we were thirteen. Her features were more sharp and defined, and I couldn't help but notice a silver head crown she had around her head. Even though it kind of looked invisible completely, I could still see she had it on.

"Where'd you get that?" Lory asked, as if reading my mind and pointed to the silver crown on Anne's head.

"Before gaining the symbol, I had to put this on. It's a crown that gives power to the symbol." she replied.

"What is your symbol then?" If I didn't know any better, Lory was trying to find a way to judge Anne. She seemed to do that to the people in the island too, even to the demons back in the Underworld. Kind of like she wanted a weak spot where she could keep pressing on and on to if she didn't like the person. I get why she's doing it, because she thinks that I don't like Anne when in all reality Anne was one of the first people to join my tight knit group of friends. Anne started walking ahead, so Lory and I had no option but to follow her back out of the huge room we got ready in.

"The bow and arrow; same as Sebastian." she said, making Lory's head pick up and her eyes get brighter. There is no denying the impression Sebastian left on this girl. "Sebastian has the symbol of a bow and arrow?"

Anne nodded her head as she turned a right corner into the large living space where the front door was at. This house was so big, I could literally get lost in it in seconds, for years. Maybe I should call it a palace rather than a house.

"Where is everyone?" I asked, noticing how empty the space was despite it being so big.

"They're in that room right over there. That is where they are putting the portal, that is where we are going." Anne said, and I couldn't help but sense a bit of repeat here.

"Deja 'vu." I mumbled to myself as I looked around.

"What?" Anne asked.

"She said Deja 'vu." Lory snapped, and I sent her a glare letting her know that she was not doing anything by snapping at an innocent person. Anne turned around with a smile.

"Oh, from when we first met!" she yelled.

"Yeah." I replied, remembering that nice moment with the fountain portal; and Anne being the one to show us around Saletum. Just like she is leading us through the Palace now.

"I'm sorry about your fate. What happened to you and everything about the Underworld; you didn't deserve that kind of punishment. Doesn't it make you ask yourself why though?" she asked as she put her right hand on the doorknob that lead to the other half of the half dozen people from the team that were here in Atlantis.

"Why what?" I asked her, stopping right in front of her and next to Lory.

"Why these sort of things happens to us. It has to be for a reason right? I don't buy the whole, gods are lost story and we were the last demigods thing. I don't know it's a stupid misinterpretation." she said, gaining my full, and undivided attention.

"Lory, go inside the room I need to chat a little bit with Anne here. I'll tell you and the guys later whatever we spoke about, I just need to confirm something and if in the end I was right, I'll tell you." I said, nodding in the direction of the door. Lory looked at me with wide eyes as she glanced from me to Anne and probably sensing my serious mood.
