Charles and Hank had received a letter saying she was Missing In Action.

Hank was depressed, obviously; his twin was possibly dead. He had kept to himself locked away in his lab for a couple of weeks, slowly coming out of the  lab to check on Charles.

Charles reacted to the news the worst.

As much as he wanted to refuse, Charles had slowly fallen in love with Emily McCoy. The way she made sure everyone was happy before her, always making sure everyone was safe. . .
Before she joined the army she had stayed by Charles side to help him adjust with the life of having a wheelchair. With her, Charles didn't really mind about having to be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. But now? Charles hated it. Hated his life. He hated how when everything was going perfect, the humans had to ruin it by creating war on each other and separating Emily from him and her twin. He especially hated that he never got to tell her his true feelings for her.

He stared down at the picture of Emily he took on one of those rare days they spent the day together. It was actually when he was about to kiss her, that was until a student had came and told them about how they were leaving the school, making them snap into reality. Despite what happened, Charles considered it a treasured memory.
"Beast said he's almost ready to leave for DC. He just needs to double check the plane." Logan said, walking into the room. Charles hummed absently at what he said, still staring down at the photo. Logan stood behind him. "You okay there, Professor?"
"Yes-yes, I am fine." Charles said distantly, lightly stroking the photo. Logan then noticed the photo, recognising it immediately.
"Hey, that's Emily, isn't it?" Logan asked him. "Emily McCoy-Xavier, right?"
"Xavier?" Charles murmured. He looked up at Logan with wide eyes from his wheelchair. "Why did you say that? I-I didn't see her in the future -"
"Don't you know?" Logan stared down at him confused. "I thought you knew around this time?"
"Knew what?" Charles demanded, leaning forward in his wheelchair.
   "Emily is alive."

She hopped out of the taxi and gave the driver the right amount of cash, watching as it drove off. When it was no longer in sight, she turned to the tall gates she surprisingly missed, and noticed a sign next to it saying it was a school. Emily smiled at the sight of the school, before walking forwards, using her telekinesis to push the gates open. When walking inside the mansion with her suitcase, she was met with many students that either sent looks of confusion to her, or recognition; the latter confusing her a bit. She looked around on her spot, noticing how everyone was happy and rushing to classes, but there were no signs of her dear friends - especially Charles, who she missed dearly. It wasn't until when she almost died during the army did she realise how much she loved Charles, and how she wished she would have told him. Now back from hiding from Stryker and Trask, she was eager to see not only Charles, but also her twin brother, Hank.
"Ma'am?" Emily jumped at the sudden sound of someone talking to her, turning around quickly to see a small girl that looked to be around sixteen, with brunette hair and brown eyes, her hair up in pigtails. She was staring at Emily with recognition, but also curiosity. "Are you looking for Professor?"
"Professor X?" Emily clarified. The girl nodded. "Um. . .yes. But first, can I see Hank?"
   "Who, Doctor McCoy?"
   "Yes." Emily nodded eagerly.
"Doctor McCoy will be in his lab. It's in the basement."
"Okay, thank you." Emily nodded politely with a smile, grabbing her suitcase and making her way to Hank's lab.
"Ma'am, are you by any chance, Emily McCoy? Twin sister of Hank McCoy?"
Emily turned to her surprised. "Y-yes, how did you know?" she stuttered. At least she knew why some students gave her looks of recognition; she was spoken about.
"Doctor McCoy and Professor X talks about you a lot." the girl answered her. "And we saw a photo of you on the Professor's desk when we talk to him."
"Oh. Okay." Emily nodded. A bell suddenly rang, making the girl yelp in shock.
"It was nice meeting you." she said. "But I have to go to class."
"It's okay, you can go. I know my way around." Emily told the girl with a smile.
"Bye, Miss McCoy!" the girl said, running down the hallway. "And Miss?" Emily turned to her. "Welcome back home."
