It's Not A Question But A Lesson Learned In Time - Chapter Sixteen

Standing in a toilet cubicle for about an hour is not advised! It’s painful from standing in one place for so damn long, it’s cramped, especially with three people in it, and it kind of stinks! We passed the time by playing various games, like Rock Paper Scissors, Who Am I?, and Tag… which as you can imagine, didn’t really work, and it kind of turned into more of a game to see who could hit the person standing next to them the hardest.

After what felt like an eternity, Stoo pulled his phone back out of his pocket and turned the camera back on to face him again.

“So. We’re still in the toilet; it’s been almost an hour now. So we’ve been finding ways to entertain ourselves.” He turned the camera to face the toilet roll holder, where Justin was currently writing ‘The Famous Class’ on the white plastic in a black sharpie. “Right. I definitely hear music!” He exclaimed quietly. He lifted the camera so it was recording over the top of the cubicle door. “The coast is clear. Time for us to crash the party!” he said excitedly. He switched off the camera again and unlocked the cubicle door.

We managed to discretely get out into the main room where there were a couple hundred people crowded in the room.

“Hey look! It’s Lostprophets!” Stoo exclaimed. He dragged me and Justin over and began talking to Luke Johnson, the drummer from Lostprophets. He also filmed the two of them, as well as pulling me into the shot.

Over the next few hours the three of us went around many bands, talking to each of the members as casually as if we had known them for years. I neglected to mention that I had actually met a couple of them already, like Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars. I had met him at a festival Green Day were playing at back in America, not long before they split up. Luckily he didn’t remember me.

We had a couple of drinks with some of the bands and eventually we decided that we should probably get out of there. We were pretty sure we’d made out way round to most of the tables and spoken to pretty much everyone in the room so we thought it was time to leave. We had nearly reached the door when Justin suddenly stopped.

“Holy shit dude! We nearly missed My Chemical Romance!” He pointed to a table that was pretty much next to the bar and Stoo and I both saw all the guys from My Chemical Romance sitting talking and laughing. I froze slightly; I’d met them quite a few times. A few years back they toured with Green Day. But then again, as I said, that was a few years ago, I’ve changed quite a lot, and I doubt they’d remember me anyway. Justin and Stoo had already started heading over, so I quickly joined them.

“Hey guys…” Stoo said when they reached the table. The My Chem guys looked up and greeted them with a smile or a ‘Hello’

They spent so long talking to those guys. The guys offered us all seats with them at their table, so obviously Stoo and Justin said yes. While they all engaged in random conversation, I sat awkwardly next to Justin barely listening to what was being said.

“Is she ok? She’s pretty quiet…” I heard Ray say to one of the guys.

“I think so… Err Frankie?” Stoo hit my arm lightly, snapping me out of my daze.

“Sorry what?” I asked.

“You ok?”

“Yeah. I’m fine. Sorry, I zoned out.” I blushed.

“Ah, an American friend eh?” Gerard chuckled. “You’ve got to be from… Further south somewhere… the South East maybe? You don’t sound like you’re from New York or anything…”

“Err yeah. California actually.” I told him.

“Thought it’d be somewhere like that.” Gerard nodded knowingly.

“You know. You look so familiar.” Frank joined our conversation. My heart skipped a beat. “Have we met?”

“Erm no. I don’t think so…” I shook my head. Frank shrugged.

“Oh. It must be my imagination or the light or something.” He said. I’m not sure he believe it though, he kept looking at me weirdly for the rest of the time we were sat there.

I tried to join in the conversation a bit more after that. I didn’t need any more attention to be drawn to me from my lack of contribution.

“Maybe we should start heading back now guys. I mean, we’ve probably missed the last train back so we’ll need to find a cab or something… wont we?” I pointed out after nearly an hour, just sitting talking to these guys.

“Yeah. I guess you’re right.” Stoo nodded glumly.

“We should probably find a hotel and crash there tonight. It’ll be so much easier than finding a cab. And besides a taxi at this time would probably cost a bomb to get back home.” Justin said.

“There’s a fairly decent hotel around the corner from here.” Mikey told us. “We stayed there last night. They’ve probably still got vacancies there.”

“Oh cool thanks. We’d better head out then. It was cool meeting you guys. See you round.” Stoo nodded to them and shook their hands, Justin did the same, and then I was pulled in for handshakes too. Frank was still looking at me weird, and now so was Gerard. I don’t think they knew why they recognized me, and if it could stay that way it would be brilliant.

Mikey had been right, when we got to the hotel they did still have vacancies. Stoo had to pay for my room because I didn’t have enough money for it, so I promised I would pay him back as soon as we got back tomorrow. Stoo and Justin were sharing a room, but it was on a different floor to mine. So I said goodnight to them when they got out of the lift on the second floor, and then waited by myself until it reached the fourth floor. I walked along the corridor until I saw 437 on the door; I put the card in the door and opened it. I barely noticed the room as I kicked my shoes off. I pulled my jeans and shirt off, leaving me just in my underwear, and then fell straight into bed. I was asleep almost as soon as I had pulled the covers over my body.

Wow. Probably should be seriously apologising right now. But I probably can't do that enough. I am so sorry it's been so long though. I just got so caught up with work and now college that I didn't realise how long it had been, lame reason I know, but that's the best I can do. So um yea, I think there's still gonna be another like.. Ten chapters maybe? So if you guys can stick with me that long it'd be great. I'll try to update more often.

So any comments you guys have for this chapter are appreciated :D

Oh and thanks so much to bleedingfiction for messaging me and giving me a kick up the ass to update.

P.S. The video at the side is the video blog made by Justin and Stoo of the Kerrang Awards (Obviously Frankie isn't actually in it, and neither are My Chemical Romance, but the rest actually happened, so yea, if you wanna watch the actual video, there it is)
