Still Freddie's P.O.V.

His eyes widened and his smile soon vanished.
"Freddie!" He exclaimed, shocked.

"Brian. I did tell you, don't act shocked." I played.

He ground his teeth together and looked away, my heart, for some reason, was beginning to beat faster, did he actually get laid last night?
With...someone other than me?

I waited patiently but inside I was shouting at him to tell me.

If Brian's in a relationship of course I would be happy for him but I would be absolutely broken.

He sighed, "No. I didn't.

I read his face, his jaw protruding as his cheeks were sucked in and his teeth were clenched together. His eyes serious as he looked right into mine.

I believed him. But I still wanted to know where he went yesterday.

"Why did you leave early last night?" I asked, trying to look busy with the pieces of paper I had in front of me so that I didn't look like I wanted to intrude on every aspect of his life.

He chuckled, "You're so bloody nosy!"

"Well like I said yesterday Brian, you don't tell any of us anything! We have to ask you, darling, so I'm asking you. Where did you go last night?" I smiled playfully.

He groaned whilst grinning, "I told you, just to run some errands!"

"Bullshit Bri. You're hiding something." I leaned forwards with my hands under my chin and fluttered my eyelashes at him making him laugh.

"It's not important Fred."

"Did you go on a date?" I blurted out.

He blinked as if I'd said something utterly outrageous.
"A date? O-of course not..."

There was a little hesitation to his answer that made me panic, was he just saying no to keep it a secret in case it didn't work out?

He got up and went to take his Red Special off the stand in the corner before I could interrogate him further.

This whole conversation hadn't even made me feel a tad better about myself.

Brian thinks my reality check is nothing but a joke and I still think he's hiding the fact he really did go on a date last night.

I needed to talk to John and Roger. At least they will understand.

"I'm going to be leaving the studio early for a couple of weeks, Fred..." Bri said, sheepishly.

I looked at him suspiciously, "Why?"

"I have things to do."

"What things? What's more important than our album?"

"Just things! I can't tell you! Not yet anyway." He strummed away at his guitar.

I sighed, beginning to get agitated with him.

"Brian. What is so fucking secretive?!"

"Nothing! I'm just not allowed to tell anyone yet!"

"What is it?! Do you have someone on the scene? Do you have to leave early so you can fit in your sex session?!" I was stood now gripping the papers in my hand which were now crumpled with my anger.

"What is your obsession with my sex life and relationship status, Freddie?" He said calmly but seriously, staring at me as if I was some kind of psychotic person.

I was breathing heavily, staring back at him, dumbstruck. I didn't mean to say any of that. I had surprised myself.
I was silent for a moment, I didn't know what to say, wasn't in the mood to come back with anything smart or funny. I swallowed hard and tried to say something.

It was a god send when the studio door opened and Roger and John walked in.
I sat back down and pretended to read the shitty two lines of lyrics I had wrote on the now ruined paper just to make it look like nothing was going on.

"Morning lads!" John chirped.

I looked up, "Morning John..." I replied with as much enthusiasm as I could manage...which turned out to be not much at all.

"All right?!" Roger said next.

"Morning boys." Brian responded.

"Hi Roger." I said back.

There was a short moment of silence, I looked up again to see John and Roger exchanging glances.

"Has something happened?" John asked.

"No, no." Brian and myself muttered at the same time.

Roger came and sat at the table with me, "Well come on. How'd the fuck go with the girl last night?!"

I glanced at Brian who was shooting daggers at me with his eyes.

"It didn't happen..." I said quietly.

"What?! Oh Freddie don't lie!" He giggled.

"Roger!" I raised my voice a little too much which surprised him a little, I carried on regardless. "It didn't happen."

"Did she bail on you?" He sniggered.

I sighed in annoyance, knowing full well John was listening, Brian too. "No. She didn't. I did."

"What? Freddie Mercury the Sex machine had the choice of getting fucked and didn't take it?! Awesome joke, Fred." He laughed.

I clenched my teeth hard and stood up quickly, pushing the chair out I was sat on so hard it fell over.

I was ready to blow.
