It was the next morning already and I could see the shore of Phoenix Drop. We sailed all night, more like I did, to get there in time so I won't be questioned... Also it wasn't hard to tell that Katelyn is still in town as her vessel is still floating near the docks. Abbie seemed peaceful in her sleep buy now I have to wake her up as I am not carrying her to my house, especially since I have a shift in about three hours and I want to get at least some sleep!
'Abbie, up up! Don't think I am your slave so you are going to walk to my house!' She yawned and rubbed her eyes as he slowly sat up
'But I'm tired!' She moaned
'At least you can sleep in, I have my guarding shift at 7!'
'Can't you change it to afternoon?'
'Nah! Dante will kill me if I don't come today, ke might still be affected by the poison anyway... but there's still Laurence and Garroth so yeah...'
'Hihihi! Do you like one of them? Or maybe all?' What kind of question is that coming form a 7 year old!
'That is none of your business kid'
'Ohh... but I wanna know!'
'If you wanna know, they like me. Other way? Still figuring that out...
For me it's hard to love...' my past strucked my head again in tje past two days...am I forgetting something?
'Au---(N), isn't it your birthday day in two days?' That threw me off... was it really that time again? The time I should love but I hate? No way...
'Actually, it is. Please don't tell anyone! ' she tillted her head slightly
'Why?'
'I just don't like my birthday, ok?'
With that we were on the shore, just a few more minutes and I can be in bed!
'Here' I helped Abbie of the boat and then got off myself. Nobodu was in sight so I headed to my house telling Abbie about the village on our way. I totally forgot about my (PK), (PN).
'You have a (PK)!?! That's great!'
'Yeah, neither of you will be lonely when I'm out! Here we are.' I said whike opening the door. Immediately, I was attacked by (PN) s loving hug.
'Hey girl/boy! I missed you too!' Then s/he noticed Abbie and jumped to her.
'Ok, so if you wanna stay up, stay up. If you are stikk tired then you will have to use the couch for now. I'm of to sleep so see ya later kid' I headed upstairs and just as I was nice and cozy in my bed I heard metal cling downstairs... I, of course, went to see what happened.
'Abbie! That's my old armour from training! Be more careful you two would ya!' She and (PN) stood with sad eyes next to my armour that fell onto the floor, that's what the metal was...
'Sorry'
'It's fine, just clean up and be more careful' then I went back to being nice and cozy in my bed.
*Later at the guard station*
Garroth's POV
I was waiting for the others at the station where we normally meet, lately we had many guards off so we need to get them in shape. As I read through my schedule again (N) appeared in the door frame
'Hey Garroth, how is it going?' She looked like she crawled ou of hell...
'Good, you? I mean you look terrible today... that is not what I ment to say!!!' She gave me a death glare but loosened up a bit.
'I know... I didn't get much sleep but I'll be fine for the few hours I have. Anyway, you free this morning?' Huh? Why such a question?
'No, Laurence is thought. Why are you asking anyway?' She sighed...
'I need someone to watch Abbie for today at least, new place and stuff so I don't want to get her lost. Plus I don't want my house wrecked!' Heh, thay kid sure gets under her skin!
'Hmm... knowing Laurence, he either won't wake up until it's his shift or he will be training.' She smiled
'If he wants to train he can take that kid with him! After all she is a daughter of a Jury of nine, plus she is quite skilled with swords. Also she actually likes to train' a young girl skilled with sword? I'm getting Laurence to see that one!
'Glad your back by the way. if you want, you can patrol from the tower today' I could see that (N) is too exhausted to do anything else.
'Thanks, how is Dante doing? Back on his feet yet?'
'Thankfully yes, today morning he finally decided to get his butt up!' She chuckled, how cute. I immediately blushe at the thought and she could see me as I decided not to wear my helmet today... smooth Garroth smooth!
'You've gone bright red you know? I'll leave you be. See you around!' With that she left for the guard tower... that. Was. A. Disaster! Now let's get Dante and Laurence to train with young Abbie and see her skills.
