A Deal with a Star

Chapter twenty three: Day One

France's PoV

"May iba pa bang kundisyon maliban doon?" Pang-sampung tanong ko na ata yan sa kanya. Sinamaan niya lang ako ng tingin bago inabot yung mga natuping damit. Tinutulungan ko siyang magimpake ngayon ng mga gamit niya. Kailangan niyang umalis ng tatlong araw para sa isang business trip kaya medyo malungkot ako.

I won't get to see her for three days. It'll be frustrating.

"France, we've talked about this." She said with a sigh. "All of us won't be here until Saturday kaya ikaw ang inaasahan namin. See this as a test so you get to prove how serious you are at courting me." May binulong siya pero hindi ko na narinig ito.

Malakas kong sinara ang zipper ng maleta, "I am serious." Ngumiti lang siya saka tinapik ang pisngi ko. Please tell me that my ears aren't red.

"Then show me." She playfully punched me at my arm before grabbing her luggage.

"Paano kung may shooting ako tapos papasok pa ako sa school? I don't get to look after her all the time due to my busy schedule." I reasoned out. Namewang lang siya saka tinapik ang baba na tila ba nagiisip.

"Too bad. So kung sinagot nga kita, wala ka ring oras sa akin? Ganon?" I remained silent. This is a test.

"Pasalamat ka at liniligawan kita..." I glared at the little kid at the corner of her room. "I guess I'll be stuck with you within a few days."

"Good to know." She fixed her hair in front of the mirror. I stared at her reflection whereas my heart is beating so damn fast. Damn, this girl is really making me feel something unexplainable.

"Gorgeous..." I said out loud. "I look so gorgeous! Look!" Sabi ko sabay turo rin sa reflection ko. Ayan para patas kaming gorgeous.

"Mahangin nga naman." Napatingin ako sa electric fan pero nakitang patay ito. The windows are closed too so I don't know what she's talking about. "By the way, kailangang matawag ka niyang daddy sa pagkabalik ko. But let me warn you, you can't force her. You just can't."

"I thought she's your cousin?" Takang tanong ko. "Ba't di na lang kuya ang tawag sa akin?"

Napatameme lang siya bago klinaro ang lalamunan. I sense something wrong. Like, is she hiding something from me? I think I don't want to figure out yet.

"Ayaw mo nun? Para naman mafeel mo rin kung anong feeling na matawag na daddy?" Marahan pa siyang tumawa saka umiwas ng tingin para kuhanin ang kwintas. She's struggling to lock it so I went behind her to do it. I noticed how her ears turned red so that's a point for me, I guess?

I tried resisting to hug her but I just couldn't help it. She's my property and I won't let anyone take her away from me. Sinandal ko pa ang aking baba sa balikat niya. I felt her body tensed against mine but she just slapped my arm.

"Ano ka? Sineswerte? Bawal mo pang gawin yan!" I groaned before breaking off of our hug. "Aalis na ako - hindi mo bagay magpout."

"What the?! Sa gwapo kong ito tapos hindi bagay? Nahihibang ka ata ngayon, Amber, at -"

Napatigil na lang ang mundo ko nang halikan niya ang pisngi ko.
