Going Public

"What if they hate me?" I asked really insecure about myself.

"Oh come on, they will like you even if you don't believe me." He sighed. "There will always be some haters, but it's nothing."

He kissed my forehead and walked to the stage again. I was pretty nervous of what he is planning to do. I'm afraid that no one would like me as Shawn's girlfriend.

"Hey guys!" He said as reached the microphone. "So today I would like to have a duet with a really special girl in my life. It's not Aaliyah nor my mom, but she is third special. That would be my girlfriend Y/N."

I got my microphone and walked out to the stage with my heart palpitating. I am so nervous that I don't even know how to greet his fans.

"Hi!" I said with a smile.

They started to scream a lot of things out loud. I thought that it would be full of hate but I guess I was wrong. In fact they were shouting a lot of random things like "You're so pretty!", "You look so amazing!", and a lot more.

"So today, Y/N and I are gonna do a live cover of Like I'm Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor and John Legend. And I hope you all like it." He said smiling.

He started strumming his guitar and I started to sing Meghan's part. You could really see that I'm nervous while singing but as the song goes on it turned out to be really good. I didn't even realize that the song is already done.

"And if you guys wanna here her voice more, she has a YouTube account and she has a cover of Flashlight there." He said to the crowd.

"SING FLASHLIGHT! SING FLASHLIGHT! SING FLASHLIGHT!" The crowd chanted.

I was surprised so I agreed to sing. To sum everything up, I really enjoyed this night.
