Mix Tape

It was one really chill morning. I was on my sweatshirt and my pajamas. Thought it was really cold outside I decided to check on the mail. I went out and walked towards my mailbox.

I opened it and saw a lot of bills yet one stood out. It was a mix tape and it was written there that it was for me. I kept it at my pocket and brought everything else inside to our living room. Hoping that it was from my crush, Shawn Mendes, I brought the mix tape up to my room and used our old music player to listen to it.

The tracks were actually really cool. They were just the ones that I really love listening to. Hands down, this is one of the best things that I had ever recieved. I admire the person who gave me this. That person has some bright mind.

I paused the songs and tried to look at the package. Maybe I could get any info of whom the mix tape is from. Sadly there were none. I wonder who gave this to me. Maybe my best friend did. I decided to text her.

Y/N - Yo! Did you give me the mix tape?

Y/B/F - Ofc not. I do not even know if it can still be played in this generation haha

Y/N - Oh. Well thanks anyways.

Y/B/F - Why'd you ask?

Y/N - I went through my mail and saw one. Surprisingly it has every song that I love.

Y/B/F - Maybe it's from your crush...

Y/N - Shawn?

Y/B/F - Yeah bc he loves music and you like music. Plus you two have the same taste when it comes to songs. So yeah, it's from Shawn.

I locked my phone and set it on my night stand. As the songs continued to play, I browsed through my contacts to see who the sender was. Very anxious to find out, I stood up from my bed and pulled the tape from the player. I tried to find a clue. I flipped the tape over and over again until I saw a very small note below its title.

Great! You saw this tiny note. Meet me at your favorite cafe downtown. I'm always there from 4 pm onwards. Hope to see you! - Your admirer

I looked at the time and it was quarter to four. I changed to my jeans and sprinted to my car. I was very curious who sent that package to me. I just can't wait to find out who he/she is. Driving really happy, I started to sing (y/f/s) out loud since I was just the only one inside my car. I was literally singing my heart out, hitting every single note properly.

As I reached the cafe, I looked at my watch and it was exactly four in the afternoon. Nobody was there, not even one person. I ordered some cappuccino and sat down at the corner by myself. All by a sudden, there entered a tall handsome young man, the guy that I had been admiring for so long. He ordered something and as soon as he got it, he tried to find himself somewhere to sit. Surprisingly, he was walking towards where I was.

"May I sit with you?" He asked looked down at me.

I simply nodded as he settled down at the chair right in front of me. An awkward silence occurred for a few minutes. I didn't know how to start a conversation with this guy. We barely even talked to each other before. I actually don't even know why he is sitting here right across me. I decided to break the silence.

"So why are you here?" I asked not wanting to bring the topic about the mix tape this early when in still unsure.

"I just want to stay here." He answered. "And you?"

"I'm here for someone. The guy who gave me this mixtape." I lifted the mixtape up for him to see.

He stood up from his seat and leaned down towards me. He pressed his lips into mine and I was so surprised that I didn't know what to do. I just froze there not bothering to kiss back in literal shock.

"I'm... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to." He sighed. "I was the one who gave you the mixtape though. I like you and it's okay if you don't like me back."

I stood up from my seat and cupped my hands unto his cheeks and smashed my lips to his. He kissed back and our lips moved in sync. It took a short while until we both pulled away. Both of us are grinning.

"I guess we should uhmm... start a conversation?" I chuckled.

"Yeah we should." He smiled.

Heyyyy! It's been forever since I updated! Haha as if that didn't change.

Anyways, this was an old imagine idea and I thought why not continue it and publish it. It is a bit corny and weird though.

Also, I have a new book. It is entitled Isn't It A Wonder. It's a teen fiction book, and I really want you guys to check that out.
