"Why hello to you too, Carter." He said not the least bit caught off guard by my greeting.
"Hey Dylan! I missed you so much." I said a little too loudly as I hopped off his back. Some people were giving us dirty looks but I didn't care. He was my bestfriend and I haven't seen him in 4 years.
"I missed you too." He said as he dropped his suitcases and bear hugged me. I heard someone clear their throat an turned to see a very awkward Ronnie and Craig standing there. I forgot they were even there. That was kind of rude of me.
"Oh, sorry guys. Craig, Ronnie, this is Dylan." Ronnie shook his hand while Craig gave him a bro-hug thing. Craig was like that, always friendly. I couldn't get rid of the smile plastered on my face. I was so busy staring at Dylan I didn't hear Craig.
"HELLO> Earth to Carter." I snapped out of my trance and looked over at Craig.
"I'm sorry. What'd you say?"
He sighed a little dramatically and said " I said we should go grab some lunch and then take Dylan back to the house. He's gonna stay there while he's out here."
"Wait, what? Why?" Ronnie asked, sounding a little... Jealous? No way. I must be inmagining it.
"Because. He's a friend of Carter's and it's the nice thing to do." Craig answered sounding a little embarrased that Ronnie would ask that. It was a rude thing to do with Dylan standing right here. I glared over at Ronnie who just rolled his eyes. What is his problem lately?
"It's okay. I don't have to stay theree if Ronnie doesn't want me too. It's his house also." Dylan said. Gosh he was so nice, even when Ronnie was being a douche.
"You see? He doesn't want to stay with us. Who are we to make him?" Ronnie stated more than asked.
"Dylan, it's okay. You can stay. It's not just Ronnie's descision. And he's being a jerk so just ignore him" I smiled up at Dylan and ignored the death glare Ronnie was giving me.
"Alright. If you say so." Dylan said sounding a little unsure and his eyes kept shifting over to Ronnie who had his arms crossed over his chest pouting like a little kid who didn't get the toy he wanted. It was actually kind of cute. Ugh, seriously? What is my problem? Dylan is here, I don't need Ronnie,
"Good. Now let's get your stuff and head back to the car." Craig said picking up a suitcase. Dylan grabbed another and once again Ronnie rolled his eyes and grabbed nothing. I sighed and grabbed the last bag. We all turned away and walked towards the exit. Once we got all the bags in the trunk we climbed into the car. Dylan sat in the backseat next to me. I couldn't help the butterflies that sprouted in my stomach. We all decided to just grab some Sonic and head home. We ate and laughed on the way home. Well everyone but Ronnie who sipped grumpily on his shake. He is being a child. Once we arrived home we all grabbed some of Dylan's bags. All but Ronnie again of course. Who just grabbed his shake and slammed the door before stomping into the house.
"What the hell is his problem?" Dylan whispered in my ear, his breath sending shivers down my spine just as Ronnie's did. And again, I need to stop thinking about him. Aparently his whisper was loud enough to be heard by Craig.
"I'm not sure but he is being a little diva." Craig told him. Dylan looked a little embarrased that Craig heard him talk about Ronnie. His embarrasment fading when he saw that Craig didn't seem to care.
"It's Ronnie. What did we expect? He has a date tonight so we won't have to deal with his bitching." I told them hoping to change the subject away from Ronnie to Dylan. Who by the way looked amazing in his gray skinnies and black v-neck that seemed to hug his body in all the right ways...
"Carter, stop eye-raping him and get inside." Craig's voice made me jump. Him and Dylan then burst out into hysterical laughter as I could feel my cheeks reddening. I grabbed a bag and went inside. I went up to the guest bedroom that was on the second floor next to Max's room.
"DYLAN!! I missed you!!" Max screamed as he ran and picked Dylan up in a hug. It was funny to see considering how small Max is and how big Dylan is. Max and Dylan were pretty good friends before Dylan moved away.
"I missed you too Maxy boy. Now put me down." Dylan said in between laughs. I heard a door slam from upstairs and figured it was Ronnie. I ignored it and introduced Dylan to Jacen, Robert, and Monte. Everyone seemed to like him. Jacen seemed to really like him. I didn't like how much she smiled at him... or the way she looked at him. Max must have noticed because he pulled me aside from the group and into the kitchen.
"What's wrong Carter? You're like trying to kill Jacen with your eyes." He said
"Do you not see how she is staring at him?" I asked not even trying to hide my jealousy.
"I didn't know you liked Dylan. And no, I didn't notice. Mainly because i like Jacen...." He answered me
"Wait, WHAT?!" I practically screamed. Everyone looked over at us until Max gave them a thumbs up. hey shrugged and went back to their conversation.
"You heard me. Please don't say anything though. Her and Ronnie are going on a date tonight." Max told me biting his lip ring out of fear I think. Yes. He should be afraid, very afraid.
"WHAT!?" I whisper yelled this time so no one would notice.
"Wait, I thought you like Dylan, not Ronnie?" He asked a little confused. That makes two of us.
"I'm not sure. I know I like Dylan, but I'm not sure about Ronnie. All I know is this whole date thing is making me jealous." I told him honestly. That's one thing with Max, I can trust him.
"I understand. I'm not too fond of this situation either." He told me shaking his head which made his hair swivel around on his shoulders.
"All I know is that there is one SERIOUS love triangle going on in this house." I told him.
He nodded then said "Add Craig and Monte into the mix and we've got quite a party going on."
"Yeah that's not- wait. Craig? What's he got to do in the situation?" I asked now seriously confused.
"Isn't it obvious? Craig has a thing for you too." Max said
"Too? Who else likes me?" I asked
"Well obviously Dylan, and Monte. Ronnie does too even though he won't admit to it." Max told me.
"Oh my God.... This is too much for me to handle. I've only been home for one day and I have to deal with all of this!?" I raised my voice once again and everyone turned and looked at Max and I again. I didn't care this time. I turned to them and said "Craig, can I talk to you?"
"Uh, sure?" He asked more than stated
"Alone." I added looking around at everyone. They all seemed to get it when they went to their rooms. Max took Dylan and his suitcases to show him where he would be staying. Once everyone was gone I looked at Craig who seemed to have a million questions running through his head.
"Okay, so tell me. Do you really like me?" I asked
"Yes, I love you like my sister. Everyone in the house feels the same way."
"No, Craig. I mean, do you like me as anything more than that?"
"Well, I uh..."
"Answer the question."
"Yes. Okay? Happy? I like you as a lot more than a friend, or a sister." He told me.
"I don't know what to say to that Craig...."
"Then don't say anything." He pressed his lips to mine.
I didn't pull away.
