Authors Note : I might be ruining the story, if I am let me know!

One week had passed since I was at Charlie’s parents, or should I say my parent-in-laws. I was scared... What if our relationship died? What if he grew bored of me? What if he choked while laughing? All these thoughts except for the last one floated around my mind, causing a slight headache.

Charlie is out today job-hunting, he use to work as a ‘strawberry picker’ but that isn’t... You know... The greatest job choice out there. He likes serving people food though, but he makes an awful mess when he cooks. Maybe he’d take a ‘how to be neat’ class in university or something someday.

A few hours later Charlie returned with the news of “I applied at a games store.” Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but what makes him happy makes me happy, well kind of at least.

“Do you think... Love is all we need to contain a healthy marriage?” I asked, self-doubt had entered my mind and I started to become unsure of everything. Charlie looked at me, his expression sympathetic for some reason.

“I don’t know... But nothing happens by mistake” Charlie answered, hugging me. “And if it doesn’t work out, it was fun while it lasted.” With this, I closed my eyes.

Few days later;

The days were going past at a turtle’s speed, but the writer would become very bored of writing; then I went to the toilet, flushed it and came out and saw a dinosaur! That’s right, a toy dinosaur sitting on my pillow, watching every move I made. Its intense eyes sent shivers down my spine andI froze in place.

It was exactly three days until the wedding, four days until the honeymoon. We (me and Charlie) decided to make the honeymoon in West Australia, somewhere we had always wanted to go to. Nothing special you might think, but when a childhood dream becomes reality its so much more.

I jumped when I heard the phone ring in the kitchen, I got up and answered it. “Hello?” I said, covering the phone as I coughed.

“Its dad” was the reply I got. I should of known this was going to happen, yet I wanted to think he had loosened the ‘leash’ on me.

“Do you really think getting married is a good idea?” He asked, I groaned and felt like slamming the phone down. “Dad, you could of said this a while ago when we first said we were going to get married.”

“I know, but I want you to know that you are young, and some choices are stupid.”

“Dad! Far out, I love Charlie and thats all that matters!” I said, I saw Charlie shift uncomfortably on the couch as he watched me.

Dad sighed in the phone, muttering gibberish into the phone before saying Okay, Goodbye, and hanging up.

“Your father hates me” Charlie said, watching me as I quickly stirred Porridge. It was now only two days until the wedding. “Charlie, he doesn’t hate you... Its probably because I’m his only child after Denis died, and he wants to know I’m making the right choices, BLAH BLAH BLAH” I said, trying to hold back the tears of speaking Denis’s name. Charlie hugged me, apologising and nearly swallowing my hair, he started choking and I couldn’t help but laugh.
