Ashley and I haven’t really made eye contact since that day in the pool. That was about a week and a half ago. I mean at that moment I was so embarrassed that I hadn’t even notice my bathing suit top had caught on the rough rock lining of the pool. Ashley was discrete enough to tie it back up for me before I flashed just about everyone. But Jeremy saw. And I could tell he was mad. I mean, I am falling for his band mate, and I’m his sister! And I know that no matter what he’ll always feel obligated to defend me.

I talked with Austin, he said he finally got an apartment and the sooner I could move in the better. I was planning on going within that week. Until Jeremy and the guys decided to take a vacation down to Mexico. I had to go. One; I wanted to spend time with my brother, which I’ve been squeezing in as much time as possible without being over bearing. And two; I would have everything packed and ready to go without a fuss. Throughout the week I had pilfered items from my room over to Austin’s. Sammi was kind enough to take me shopping, buying me an entire wardrobe, accessories included.

Ever so slightly I’ve made trips, and no one had noticed. The only things I had left were my clothes and my four guitars. Until then, I was giving checks to Austin for my half of the rent, and I was headed to Mexico for a couple weeks. I was going to try and enjoy the time I had left with my new family.

“Who can say, Viva La Mexico?” Sammi squealed in excitement.

“Oh I can say lot more than that” I giggled.

“Really now?” CC asked amused.

I gave a little laugh “Sí puedo. Aprendí español durante toda la escuela secundaria de alto y alto.”

CC gaped at me “What the fuck did that mean?”

“It means,” I rolled my eyes and laughed “Yes I can. I learned Spanish all throughout junior high and senior high school.”

“So you’re like, and expert?” Andy asked, amused.

“Well, no. Not an expert” I shrugged “Just adept I guess?”

The intercom called out for us to board our flight. We grouped together and boarded. Mexico for a week or two? Well then, let’s live it up.

I laughed “No Jer. You’re still not saying it right”

“Just refresh me again” he sighed.

We had been here for about a week and I hadn’t realized how much I remembered and how much he forgot. Maybe because I used Spanish more often or maybe it’s just because Jeremy hadn’t had to use it in so long, I had to reteach him. We’ve been doing lessons for the past couple days for a few hours. I think one more time through and he’d finally get it again.

I went through everything one more time. And he retained quite a lot of information. I was done teaching him though. If we needed a translator I was their girl. I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room to find CC upside down on the couch and Ashley texting while sitting in the chair next to CC.

“Where the hell are we supposed to do?” CC whined.

“We could always go clubin’” Ashley smiled slyly “I could use some spicy”

“Oh my god, that’s nasty” I shook my head.

“Oh I forgot we had an Innocent here. I tainted her ears with my filth” he smirked.

I looked at him, unbelievably. I mean, just a week ago he was the sweetest thing ever. And now he’s acting like a total ass. I shook my head and responded.
