The atmosphere in the house was thick. Ren didn't know what happened but she was sure Ryoma was hiding something from her.
She acted like she couldn't see but she knew her consciences wouldn't let her. She was bursting to find out about what was wrong with him but she knew she was too embarrassed.
It seems that while her and Tomoka was in the nurses office the coach announced who they were going to play against. She tried to ask Ryoma but he just wouldn't tell her.
"Jii-san!" She said.
"What?"
"I'm going outside for a walk. I'll be right back."
She wanted to get out of the house away from Ryoma but the problem was... She didn't know where she was going.
She had heard from the other tennis players that there was a street tennis court somewhere but she didn't know.
She went back inside the house.
"Ah! Ren, are you back already?" Nanak said.
She walked past her with a nod and looked for Ryoma. She found him lounging around in his bed.
"Ryoma! Tell me where the tennis courts are!"
He gave her the directions and of she went.
~ At the tennis courts ~
'There isn't much here is there?" She thought.
"Hi! Are you new here? Wanna play?" A brunette asked her.
"Yeah, sure."
~ 10 minutes later ~
"Hey! You never told me I was gonna play against boys!" Ren pants out.
"Who cares? You beat all of them anyway. By the way my name's Anne from Fudomine, how about you?"
"Ren. Asuka Ren from Seigaku."
"Seigaku, eh. I guess the saying about monsters being with monsters was real though I feel bad for you."
"Why?"
"You're next opponent is Hyötei Gakuen."
"Hyötei Gakuen? That sounds really familiar..."
"Of course it is... After that conceited guy goes there."
"Conceited guy? That sound familiar as well..."
"Ore-sama no bigi ni yoi na."
(Translate: "Be awed by the sight of my prowess!")
She turns around to see the familiar purple head (dark blue, if it makes you feel better).
"Oh! I wasn't expecting this suprise." He says looking at Ren straight in the eyes.
"How are you doing... my dear nii-san."
