The Mourning Bell

The final peal of the bell echoes in our broken hearts. This final act that is not quite the end, such a beautiful yet mournful sound. A reminder of why we are gathered here, of who it is that we are mourning. A child not yet a man, an innocent that we didn't fully understand. His young life cut short, a painful reminder of life's precious nature and fragility.

We gather together, emotions raining overhead, like an ominous thunder cloud that is bursting at the seams. We bow our heads, we clasp hands... tenuous grips to keep each other grounded.
