Me and Phoenix had been stuck here thinking of a way to get Phoenix out without her drowning or getting absolutely destroyed in the water. I could feel hunger creeping back but refused to acknowledge it.

I was simply curled up watching her do her thing. She kept scratching and cutting her hands on the rubble while trying to see if there was anyway through it. I was concerned. She hadn't given her arm anytime to heal yet.

She was clearly starting to get desperate so I thought of something. "Yo I'll go tell Sebby- I mean- Sebastian so he can come give you food until you find a way out," I suggested while slithering for the door that lead in the direction she didn't need to go.

She gave a small nod and I slipped into a pool of water and then into the actual open water. I swan for nearly 30 minutes before finding Sebastian.

When I poked up he was organizing data. "Hey fat fish. Phoenix is stuck in a collapsed spot and can't go back to her group, get her some food." I was quick to swim away before he responded.

I knew he'd end up finding me. He always did. I went back to Phoenix and she was throwing rocks at a the wall in boredom. I just waited for her to notice me.

When she did, the first thing I saw was a rock to the face. She'd chucked a rock at me when I accidentally startled her. I rubbed my nose silently. My face now hurt.

She seemed to process what she did in seconds and rushed up to me. "Oh I'm so so so sorry" she hurriedly said while trying to see if I had any facial injuries from the rock.

I would of let her if she wasn't getting so close to my mouth. I knew better than to let humans, or really anyone, near my mouth after what happened with Sebastian. I could tell she realized why I didn't let people near my mouth and awkwardly put her hands down.

We awkwardly stared at each other for a moment before she backed up and sat back down. I just laid down in a corner. I heard something moving, but mistook it for Phoenix moving around.

I made the mistake of not opening my eyes and next thing I knew something was on top of me. I flinched and felt it cling onto me more. I was a little dazed from how suddenly I'd been jumped on and squirmed.

"Stop moving so much singing fish" I heard Sebastian say while I just went limp after so long of struggling against him. He was clinging onto my torso and seemed pretty content doing so. I thought he was gonna just stay on top of me, but he got up.

I accidentally let out a weird whine sounding thing and immediately he laughed. "Aww~ that was so cute" he teased while I rolled onto my stomach.

He threw a bag at Phoenix and then ran- slithered off. I knew I had to go find some food. I wasn't sure how long that stuff Sebastian gave me would last.

Once I was out I felt desperate for food again. I quickly went for a few fish in a hungry frenzy. It didn't keep my full. I was concerned that my hunger would drive me back to Phoenix.

I was hunting down fish and wall dwellers to eat. I couldn't seem to feel full enough despite the amount of stuff I was eating. I was getting desperate for the relief of a full stomach.

I eventually just was on auto pilot letting my hunger drive my body to eat more. I eventually was dragged back to the hallway Phoenix was in. I was trying so desperately to leave yet I couldn't quite bring myself to leave.

I blacked out entirely.

When I snapped back to reality blood was everywhere and there was a hand in my mouth- no- sorry a whole forearm, hand attached in my mouth.

I desperately looked around for Phoenix to make sure I hadn't gotten her. I eventually found her- well- most of her.

The smell hit me like no other, I knew her scent well enough to realize it was her blood. I was panicking.

I found her body laid on the floor with a hole in her stomach and missing half of her right arm. (Picture at top DON'T look if you don't handle blood well)

I was absolutely horrified at the sight of her condition. I checked for some sort of sign she was alive and eventually she coughed.

She looked to me with those cloudy eye. I was crying, I hadn't even noticed until she reached up her only hand and wiped away some of my tears.

She let out a few tears of her own while she spoke. "I-I'm so proud of you" she said in a raspy and strained voice. Her hand dropped and she took her last breath.

I was sobbing. I had to get Sebastian, I needed him... Right now.
