I awoke confused with an aching back. I'd somehow managed to twist my own tail around my waist without breaking a bone in my sleep.
I just laid there for a few minutes to fully collect myself. I eventually got hungry and got up. My stomach hurt as I grumbled slightly from having to get up already. I placed my new blanket onto the cave floor and slithered back to the hole out and slipped back into the water.
My first thought that somehow overcame my want for good food was to go see Sebastian. I had made zero progress with identifying my own feelings or why I feel so bubbly and fuzzy around him.
Phoenix had been becoming my friend more. She was actually really funny despite the tough act. She says the most non-serious things like she was gonna slit my throat.
Sebastian had recently become more irritated with how many Expendables had used the flash beacon on him and had finally started putting his gun to use.
The first time he shot someone I had been there, I was still a little traumatized from that. Recently I'd been having these strong urges to get close to Sebastian.
I didn't wanna seem weak so I held my emotions to myself to avoid getting too attached since, no matter what I believed, eventually we'd get seperated.
I had started to slither down hallways more often which was what I was doing now. I eventually reached a door but when I opened it that damned meat slab got me for the second time.
I grumbled in pain before realizing he'd hit a more vital spot than I'd have liked. I tried to prop myself back up but my arms felt weak already despite only having been bleeding for a few seconds.
I started to literally crawl before I couldn't drag myself further due to tiredness. I would of passed out if I didn't see the humans approaching. I remembered the last time I'd seen humans and how they'd shot me with a harpoon.
I tried to crawl and scoot faster, my claws dug into the floor. I was afraid to get hurt more. I was so dizzy by now but one of them crouched down in front of my face.
She was a bubbly looking female who seemed to be looking for facial damage. The other ones were fixing my wounds, which I hadn't noticed since I'd been focused on the lady and had adrenaline numbing me out.
The lady in front of me seemed to notice my panic and sat down in front of my face. She had a calming presence to her. I let them fix me up. The humans seemed to be arguing over something but I didn't care enough to actually listen.
They were about done when I picked up something that one of the male ones said, "do we really need to help this one when it'll probably kill us later?" Kill you later? How dare he assume my agenda. I didn't even plan to kill anyone later (bold face lie)
I slightly scoffed at his assumptions and he seemed to pick up on my annoyance. "Oh sorry- didn't know it could understand me" he blurted while I turned my head to look at him.
"I'm not an 'it' dumbass" I mumbled out while the girl in front of me pulled my face back to face her, "Ignore them, they're stupid anyway" she said while she did so. I slightly rolled my eyes but they seemed about done with keeping me here.
Did I mention two of them were trying to keep me from moving too much? They all let go of me after a second and backed off like I'd attack them.
I rolled my eyes at their fear. I slithered away and started to realize I was drying up so I started to have to scoot around again. My scales were starting to stick more to the floor than my tail and it was starting to hurt to move. I felt one of the humans pick up my tail and I looked.
"Guys help me move her back, she's drying up." Said the girl who had the calming presence. "It's a murderous fish, why are you so obsessed with getting it to survive?" One of the males said.
I was starting to feel the pain of my scales sticking to the floor and ripping out. The lady finally managed to convince the other humans to help with dragging me to water.
I would of just let myself pass out if I hadn't heard movement from a few doors away. I recognized the sound of something bumping into stuff like tables as if it were too big to move so fast.
I hadn't really seen Sebastian move very fast so I questioned if it may be him, my guesses were proven right when I saw him literal break through the door.
It was at that point that I could barely move and was on the verge of passing out... Again.
He literal dragged me to him by my tail, which kinda hurt, and picked my fatass up. He moved faster than I'd ever seen him move before. We reached a opening into some water pretty quickly.
Instead of just throwing me in, he threw himself in with me. I resurfaced. My tail hurt and I felt sore. He resurfaced with a rock, then I recognized this place.
This was the same place I'd gone after fully meeting him for the first time. I had relaxed here and- "do you know why a bunch of names are engraved on this rock?" He interrupted my thoughts.
I'd used this spot to think of a name to give myself after our first meeting. "Oh I used this place to think of a name for myself after we first met" I responded. He seemed to leave it at that.
He climbed back onto land and seemed to adjust his clothes. "Well I'll be on my way, I got a shop to run. See ya later honey" He seemed to have realized he called me a honey and slithered faster to get out.
I just stared at the door for a second before I started flopping like a fish in the water while giggling to myself about how he'd called me honey. I, felt all giddy inside.
I was giggling so much my chest hurt. I randomly realized how stupid I look, a siren swooning over a sassy fish man. I just decided to go for a swim.
