Voices - chapter 36

I awoke laying on Sebastian's tail, underneath his jacket. I didn't particularly want to move from my active spot. I noticed he'd taken the pouches off the section of his tail that he had me laid on, and had them on the floor in front of the pouches that were still on his tail.

I realized there that I was laying on bare tail, which he actually hadn't done before. I couldn't help the heat that rose to my face. He hadn't noticed that I was awake yet.

I didn't wanna get up, but I was hungry. 'Curse my stupid fatass appetite' I thought to myself as I adjusted my position to look up at him.

He glanced down and met my eyes. "Morning sleeping beauty" (yes I think he'd call a man sleeping beauty) I managed my way to sit up.

I decided to just leave, go eat, and come back. I realized how hungry I was. "I'mma go eat someone." I said quietly to him. "Uh- come here first, you have something on your face." He said.

I leaned into him and he grabbed my face, pulled me forward, and kissed me. It was a gentle and quick one, more of a peck if anything. I decided to just try to ignore the fact I probably looked like a tomato right about now.

"Ha, you're blushing" He teased. "I-I- Nuh uh-" I mumbled while making my exit. Once I was out I slithered my way to a flooded room, well I tried to. I was too dried up and ended up stuck.

I was drying out, again. This wasn't new so I just tried to keep going, despite the pain of my own scales on my tail sticking to the ground and ripping out. I was starting to get dizzy as well.

Eventually I made it, but my tail was bleeding and I was practically unconscious. I lazily swam through the murky water in search of fish or something. I could hear distant singing again, the same unidentifiable tune. I couldn't help but feel taunted by it.

I eventually found some fish, but was too dazed to actually catch any of them, which had never happened before. Usually I caught my food.

Eventually I came across a cat walk with some people on it, I needed food more desperately by now anyway. I used my siren song like before and watched two of them jump the railing. (Siren song at the top again)

I swam toward their bodies and collected both bodies. I brought them onto a small rock and feasted on them. Luckily Sebby had given me a few air tight jars, so I stuffed some of the organs from the humans into them.

Once I'd eaten most of the bodies. I threw them into the water for the fish. I was too dazed to really pay attention right now. I just lazily made my way back to my cave.

When I got there, I was still pretty out of it. My head had started to hurt so the dim lighting of the lantern Sebby had given me wasn't all that bad.

I curled up in my cave. I was starting to hear those stupid voices again, and it did nothing but make sleeping harder. After trying to sleep for like an hour, Sebby popped out of the hole in the floor.

"Oh you're actually awake" he muttered while pulling himself up. I didn't wait for him to fully be inside before I pulled him in. I more or less clung onto him. "Well damn, someone's cling- you good" he was gonna tease me, but noticed how my face was less happy looking.

"My head hurts" I mumbled into his chest. He seemed kinda stunned by my current state, but still grabbed some pain killers from his pocket.

"Uh- here" he said while offering the bottle. I snatched them, momentarily let go, took a swig of water from the hole in the floor, and took the pills.

After I'd eaten the pills I clung back onto him. I was snuggled into his side with my still slightly bleeding tail wrapped around his. "Oh shit what happened to your tail?!" He noticed the tail.

He moved me to grab a med kit, he didn't wait for my response before starting to handle the bleeding from my tail. "I nearly dried up" I mumbled. He merely hummed slightly in response.

Once he'd handled my tail, he pulled me back into him to let me snuggle back into his side. I was cozy and no longer willing to move. He was warm, I was not.

Eventually I felt a strange urge to kiss him, so I lifted my head to look at him. He looked back down at me in confusion. I pulled myself up momentarily to kiss him before relaxing back to be against his side. He was the same color as a tomato now.

"I-I- okay then" he stuttered out. I was beginning to actually be able to fall asleep. I was warm which made drifting off easier.
