~Deep Below the Surface~ (Sebastian x Siren reader)

Close - chapter 10

Y/N's POV
I had been stalking Sebastian lately. I didn't do it because I was weird or anything, I just wanted to make sure he was alright and it gave me something to do. He was the only type of emotional support for me down here.

I had also killed two more people out of hunger. One of which directly outside him shop, again. The other one fell into the water while I was in there. Right now however, I was laid down in my cave dreading having to get up.

I knew I had to, but every day I got worse. I didn't have the normal diet of a siren which was probably why it constantly got worse and worse. Usual sirens are self dependent and don't need to take snacks from a fish man. (😒)

I would of just stayed down if I hadn't remembered I was gonna go see Sebastian. I managed to peel myself up from the cave floor my neck ached from the position I'd slept in. I got up all the way and slipped back out into the water.

I knew where I wanted to swim for once. I got over to Sebastian's shop again, I struggled my way through the vent with a little help towards the end. I slithered over next to him in his  corner. I liked his presence.

He seemed to be organizing some documents and USBs. There really wasn't much to talk about. I knew I looked little 'rougher' than normal due to my worsening state. He seemed too focused on his files to notice my current state.

Once he did he had actually flinched cause he had gone to give me a head pat or something when he noticed. "OH- uh- what happened to you?" He asked.

I questioned if he really hadn't noticed me before. "Well- uh- I-Its uh- nothing" I simply said, it was a sucky lie I knew that. He looked weirdly enough, concerned for my sake.

"That doesn't look like nothing. You look like my great great grandma who passed away back in 1946" he simply added while I tried to think of a way to get out of this. I would of lied more if it wasn't for the human commotion outside. I went to go to the corner again before he actually called out for them.

"Hold on stay out there for a second" I paused. He had never once delayed the people out there. I didn't know how to feel now as I looked to him. "Now tell me what causing this or I swear to God I will beat the shit out of you." He said.

I didn't want to say it. "U-Uh well- y-you know you should probably just deal with those people first I could just-" I had inched a few inches too close to the vent apparently cause his hand had blocked me from going down.

I would of just stopped responding if he didn't push me into the wall. "Listen I don't like having to force answers out of people but this isn't fine." He sounded disappointed in me by this point. I wasn't sure how to react to being pinned to a wall like this.

I finally decided to spill. "I- well- i-its my diet- most sirens don't take snacks from a fish man" I explained. "Then why don't I just stop giving you snacks" he offered which I still wanted to keep his things but I decided to go with common sense on this one.

"Yea- let's do that" I simply agreed. He then peeked through the vent to see the humans were long gone. "Humans are gone" he simply said. I would of left if he hadn't of dragged me back again.

He actually hugged me. HE ACTUALLY HUGGED ME. It wasn't a very long one but still. I decided to just relax with him for a moment. So we talked for a while. I was starting to become tired so I was gonna leave and go back to my cave. I half wanted to sleep with him again, I couldn't forget the feeling of him being wrapped around me with his head laid on my lap.

Apparently he had of plans cause he, once again, tugged me back into him. I would of protested against it if he didn't just flat out push me down to lay my head on his 'lap'. I suddenly didn't need to go to my cave anymore.

I relaxed and he seemed pleased with that response to this. I felt one of his hands move to run through my hair. I was starting to drift to sleep on him. He let me. He even adjusted to let me get comfortable without having any of his harnesses in the way.

He pulled me up to lay on his chest while he had slid down to lay his head on his own tail. I drifted off to sleep in his arms.

Sebastian's POV
I felt Y/N go limp as they drifted into sleep. 'Damn, that's kinda cut- wait why am I thinking that?' I thought to himself as I messed with Y/N's hair.
