Siddharth's pov

Ishika went through so much and I had no idea. Today when I saw her wrapped in bandages, I felt like I failed in fulfilling my duty as her husband. I should have been there for her.

I was sitting on the chair outside Ishu's room, waiting for the doctor. She was sleeping like a baby inside the room. Mom and Karthik were inside. He is adamant about leaving her side even for a moment.

Samrat bhai came and sat next to me.
"Looking at your face, I think things are better between you two," he said

"Yes, bhai we cleared the misunderstandings."

"Good, what's the lesson you learned?" he asked.

"That I should balance my professional and personal life. Kaam kitna bhi jaroori ho, Ishu se jyada jaroori toh saans lena bhi ni hai. I learned how only we are responsible for our relationship. Iss rishte ki dor humare hath mi hai aur iski uchi udaan bhi. Baki zammana toh maukaa hi dekh raha hai pech ladana ka. Last thing that I'll never forget is ki baat kitni bhi badi ho baat cheet band ni hona chahiye."

"Life is the best teacher Siddharth and you are a good student. I'll just say one thing before going that rishte mi pyaar se jyada pyaar jataana jaroori hota hai. Take care both of you, I'll leave now." Bhai said before going.

I was thinking about Bhai's words when Dr called me in the cabin. He told me about all of Ishika's injuries and the precautions we needed to take. He told me that due to stress and not having proper meals, her blood sugar levels dropped while driving, so she fainted and crashed the car. The good news is that Ishika will be discharged tomorrow morning.

After talking with Dr, I went to Ishika's room taking her lunch with me. She was awake now and was animatedly chatting with Karthik. I am amazed at the bond these to share in such a short time.

"Devar aur bhabhi ki baate ho gyi ho toh thora pati par bhi dhyan dedo." I didn't care if I sounded jealous because I felt like a third wheel between them. Ishika showed me her tongue. So mature.

"Karthik, you go home with Mom, Dad and Radhika, ask them to relax at home, I am here with Ishika. And I know you will not leave your dear bhabhi, so when you come back, bring all the necessities with you." I told him.

"Haan bhai bahane bana rahe hona mujhe bhej kar bhabhi k sath time spend karne ka." he said to me.

"Mujhe toh lagta that Tu duffer hai."

"Bhabhiii" he cried to Ishika.

"Sidd" she said sternly while narrowing her eyes at me.

"Bhabhi ka chamcha." I murmured but loud enough that Karthik could hear. He finally left the room with a proud smile.

"Chalo madam, it's time for your food."

I set the table and opened the food container.

"Eww Khichdi, Sidd can't we have pizza." She looks adorable when she pouts like that.

"You'll get Pizza when we go home tomorrow. Till there bear this khichdi for me." I made her understand as if I was talking to a 5-year-old.

"Only on one condition that you'll have to eat with me," she said.

"Jaan, you eat now, you have to take your medicines as well, I'll eat baad mi."

"No, either we eat or no one does," she said stubbornly.

So I fed her one spoon and ate the other. That's the only way she would have her food. It feels so like home. Having her in my arms while she throws innocent tantrums. I can't even imagine tears in her innocent eyes.

"Sidd, what are you thinking about." she asked me.

"Nothing, how just because of some misunderstandings, we would have lost such a beautiful relationship. I won't spare Ashi and Vrishti." I answered.

"Sidd sari galti unki nahi hai, we should have built our relationship stronger. And it's not late yet. We have learned our lesson. Now come what may, we will fight it together."

I kissed her forehead then her cheeks.

"I love you Ishu."

"I love you more Ishu ki Jaan."

Our sweet moment was interrupted by the knock on the door.
