VIVIAN'S POV

I had this pounding headache and no memories except for Ace making me hot chocolate. I still can't believe he made me a hot chocolate and that too very good.

I took a long hot bath to cure my hangover. And believe me or not it worked. I changed into some fresh clothes, packed my bag and went outside.

"Ethan!" I called walking into his room. He was still sleeping. I sat on the bed beside him. "Ethan?" I said shaking him softly. He rubbed his eyes and sat up.

I helped him get ready and after eating breakfast I dropped him at school. I drove toward my college. Today I have to give notice for leave since I'm going to Oregon and will probably miss 2-3 days.

The rest of the day at college went by. Luckily I didn't bump into Alex today. I remember the breakup in bits and pieces. That fucking asshole tried to force me into this relationship.

I left the college after giving the notice with a fake but very believable excuse. I checked my watch. I still had time before I had to pick Ethan up from daycare so I decided to meet Stella for coffee and pretend everything is normal for once.

*•••••••••*

"Hi," I greeted Stella as I slid into the booth. She was with Max and I felt like a third wheel not that I'm complaining. "So you are leaving tomorrow?" Stella asked sipping on hot coffee.

"Yeah!"

"What about Ethan? Because I will be at college." Stella asked. "Amanda agreed to look after him while I'm gone," I answered. I ordered myself a hot coffee.

"So why is Ace going?" Max asked. "Didn't he tell you?" I asked. "No, we aren't hanging out so much lately since he has been dating Maddy." He replied. "Oh! He dates!" I said sarcastically and amused. "Yeah I don't think he is dating her because he likes her. I think he is bored." He shrugged. "Classic!" I rolled my eyes.

"He has some work in Portland," I answered. "That's why he is going?" He mumbled under his breath.

"Oh no!" Stella mumbled. "What?" I looked behind and there she was, The she-Devil, Maddy. Unfortunately, she spotted us and was walking towards our booth. "Hi Max." She smiled at him. Max didn't respond. "So what kind of weather will be there?" Stella asked me. "I don't know!" I said completely ignoring Maddy. "It will be cold maybe snowy," Max answered.

"Max, what are you doing with them? I'm going to meet Ace, you can come if you like." Maddy said glaring at us. "I will meet him later." He answered.

"Emily can join us later too if you want." Maddy insisted. Max looked at her for a second and then at Stella, "Stella, Let's go out tomorrow, on a date." He said pecking her lips. A small smile escaped my lips when Stella said yes.

Maddy Huffed and made it very clear that she was leaving. "Max, can I ask you something?"

"Yeah." He grinned. "Is it necessary to take Ace to Oregon?" I sarcastically asked. "Well think of him as your bodyguard. You will get through it. And he is just as stubborn as you are so.."

"I'm not Stubborn!" I defended myself. "Don't blame me!" He laughed and I rolled my eyes. "You should warn Ace that Maddy is coming!" Stella said. "I'm sure he will be fine." He said.

Maddy!Seriously! I mean what possibly he could've liked in Maddy? We used to make fun of that kind of people in high school and now he is dating one. Why do I care? I'm not his friend.

"You ladies have fun! I have some work to attain to." Max said as he got up. He kissed Stella on the cheeks and left.

"Ahh Finally, you guys are going on a date! You excited?" I chimed. "Yeah!" She blushed. "Enough about me! How did the breakup go!" Stella asked.

"Meh.. A bit messy!" I admitted. "Why?"

"Well I broke up with him, and then he forced me into staying in the relationship. Then I saw Sawyer-"

"Ace's Sawyer?" Stella asked dumbfounded. "Yeah! He called Ace and told him how drunk I was. Then Ace told me that Sawyer would drop me home but I said no and hung up!"

"I bet he showed up there." Stella laughed. "Yeah he did. Then Alex showed up and was not letting me leave so Ace pulled out a gun and aimed at his forehead."

"Did he kill him?" Stella asked taking a sip of her coffee. "No, of course not. After that, he took me to my place and made me a hot chocolate."

Stella almost choked on her coffee. "He made you a hot chocolate?!" she exclaimed. "Yeah. And it was good!" I admitted. "It's embarrassing in a way. I was whining like a baby for a hot chocolate." I said with an awkward chuckle. "Ace has been through your tantrums before that's why he didn't mind taking care of you yesterday," Stella stated.

"But it's somehow different from high school," I mumbled.

"Alright let's talk about your trip!" Stella spoke changing the subject. What about this trip? It's a meaningless trip and I know we won't find anything there but we are still going because we have no information to fight my father.

I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't turn out worse than I expected!
