ACE'S POV

She looked like she had been through hell. I glanced at her. "Give me your laptop." She demanded. I handed her my laptop. She typed something, put that chip in and then pressed play.

The first few minutes were of her getting kidnapped then there was a moment of silence. After that, someone walked in. "I need those files." Someone demanded. "Silas." She mumbled.

"Yes Sir."

"My daughter." He chimed as the footsteps grew louder. Viv's Expression changed.

"I MISSED YOU." He exclaimed. "But Soon we will be together."

"Sir?" Someone said.

"What?!" He almost yelled. "Sir, how many days are you giving her to think because your Russian wife is visiting in 45 days or so until her visa is approved? Your wife wants to see you run your mafia or she will withdraw all her money which will lead to bankruptcy plus there are a few important meetings regarding the expansion of your business with Orson Elwood. In the next 20 to 30 days so." The guy asked.

"30 days. Until then I will convince Orson to help me expand this business and after that, it will be easy to convince Mabel that I can run this business. And keep an eye on her from now on " He chimed.

"Fucking Orson!" I mumbled under my breath.

"You know this guy?" She asked pausing the record. "Yeah, He was an acquaintance of my father." He was a good friend but after my father died he tried to take this business and I said no. I don't know what relations are left now but I know he was quite angry when he left.

After that, there was no important conversation on the recorder. She let out a groan as she shifted in her seat. One hand was on her side stomach and the other one helped her adjust to her seat. I glanced at her, her eyes were closed.

"Vivian?" I asked. "Yes, Donavan." She replied. "What do you wanna do now?" I asked.

"Find out how many fucking wives my father has. And then who he loves the most. Then torture her to death." She smiled.

"You're Crazy. Even I'm not that messed up." I pursed my lips. "Yeah, Yeah at least I haven't killed anybody yet!" She exclaimed darting her eyes at me.

"They deserved it."

"Sure. Of course, you would say that!" She said with a sarcastic smile. "You are being very irritating right now. This isn't about me It is about you and your Father." I reminded her.

"He is not my Father." she glared at me. "By blood he is. You don't have a choice in that!" I pointed out. Her facial expressions changed.

"Fuck off Donovan!" She grunted. "And maybe do something about your shitty father, instead of gloating!" I huffed. I never talk to anyone like this but sometimes she just gets on my nerves. She didn't respond. I rolled my eyes and walked outside.

"Sawyer!" I yelled. I was Frustrated. "Yes Sir."

"Any news about Thomas?"

"Yes sir he paid today afternoon." He said. "Alright prepare me a drink please." He nodded and left. I stayed outside for a while then took my drink and went inside again.

Viv was still sitting on the chair. Her back facing towards me. "Viv?" I called taking a sip. She didn't respond, not even flinched.

I walked towards the chair, "Viv?" Her eyes were
Closed. Did she fall asleep? Seriously?! "Viv?" I said shaking her shoulder, but she didn't respond again. "Shit." I got down on my knees and checked her pulse. It was still there.

"Sawyer?!" I yelled. He came running into the room. "Call the doctor!" He nodded and ran outside. I checked her temperature and then picked her up. I carefully placed her on the sofa. In a few minutes, the doctor was here.

He checked her for injuries. He slightly lifted her top and revealed a bruise. It was quite large and felt like it could cause a lot of pain.

Suddenly Max and Stella walked in. "Ace? What happened?" Stella rushed towards Viv and kneeled beside her. "I don't know," I mumbled.

After a couple minutes, the doctor stood up. "Nothing to worry about. She passed out because of the pain due to the bruise. She will be fine just tell her to apply this ointment and take these medicines after she wakes up." He said and handed me an ointment and her medicine, then left.

"Seriously Ace, you were with her this whole time. Didn't you notice anything?"

"No Stella! I was outside and she was hiding it pretty well." I rolled my eyes and picked up my glass again.

"Seriously, How can you be so cold-blooded." she groaned. "She will be fine." I know it. One thing I admire about her is that she is strong.

She didn't respond. How could I've possibly known she was hurt? I'm not her babysitter.
