"Hey," a voice said from behind me softly

As I whipped my head around, i was met with the smiling face of

Nayeon

"Oh hey, do you need something? Why did you come here?" I asked as she walked closer and sat on the edge beside me

"Well, I felt a bit worried that you got up and ran away so quickly, I thought I'd come check on you" nayeon answered while looking straight ahead 

"How did you find me here?" I asked turning to her

"Jihyo." she answered and finally turned to me and saw my confused expression and chuckled a bit

"Jihyo was gifted with omnipresence as her main ability" she said while she smiled, her smile was bright and unwavering. It felt comforting in a way

"I wanted to actually ask you something, why-uh-um" she tried to say something but she was basically tipping over her own words

"Go on, I won't judge"

"Why did you blank when we told you the name of the person you were roommates with?" Nayeon said quickly 

"Something I didn't tell you was you blanked because something was triggered when you heard that name" 

"I'm not quite sure myself" I said while looking everywhere except meeting her eyes

"Oh ok. Well don't worry too much, Momo is a nice person. We've known her since we were little" 

"Is that so..." something didn't feel right about this Momo girl, her name itself feels familiar but not in a good way, lots like something I don't wanna remember 

"What's wrong?"

"Why did you want me to be her roommate? You guys barely know me, it's not like I'll hurt her, she's an Elite too no doubt but still, why me?" I found it odd that they wanted me to be Momo's roommate even though they barely—don't— know me. Something doesn't seem right, how did I even agree to this?? Oh i didn't

"Well—" Nayeon looked troubled, like she wanted to tell me but couldn't for some reason

"I'd say it's best not to press on that topic anymore"

"Oh, I'm sorry for asking" I said quickly trying to divert the conversation 

"No, no, you din't have to apologize, you did nothing wrong after all" she replied sadly? That's odd, the tone of her voice sounded regretful like she was trying to keep a secret but was being put on the spot. 

"Hey why did we have to stay in the Common Area after the announcement?" 

"We had some papers to pass around" Nayeon said and shrugged

"Does everyone have to participate in the Acts?" I asked hoping she said no

"Headmaster Park will decide that, he isn't sure right now" after I heard those words, I froze. If he chooses random students to participate I might get picked for the duel or something.... What would I do then?? No no no no the chances are low right?? No way... plus he wouldn't be so reckless as to choose random people for something so big like this right??!?!

I was panicking, like a lot. My breathing increased rapidly and I felt my vision blur and everything was fuzzy. I don't know if Nayeon was calling my name or what, I couldn't hear exactly what she was saying but I heard her voice. I looked down at my hands but it felt unreal, I felt like I wasn't there, like everything was fake. 

"Hey, try to calm down, your body internally isn't as strong as others, that's why you would have problems breathing often before"

I felt my eyes get heavy and random black spots appear in my line of sight, I was going to black out, I had a chance on falling forward and falling off the roof, I wasn't so sure as to trust Nayeon either.

I wasn't that aware of my surroundings but I felt a hand on my shoulder and I was pulled closer to nayeon

"Dahyun, calm down. You're ok, breathe in and out slowly. Follow with me now" I heard her soft and calming voice instruct, but i couldn't think at all. She placed a hand on my back and tried soothing me

"In..... and.... Out..." she said while breathing slowly and I tired to follow, my breathing was calming down a bit 

"That's right, you're doing great"
