chapter twenty five.

april , rory and i walk into school the next day as we push open the double doors. My brother couldn't have the decency to take me to school because he was hangover. Like that was my problem . And he didn't wanna let me take his car because he claimed i was getting too "comfortable" . I mean i did like when i drove with april and rory. But aprils music taste sure is shit. And when it gets too quiet her ADHD kicks in which is cute and annoying at the same time which means she blabs all the time .

"Sarah peters is so slutty...look at her. Shes such a pick me " april says from next to me as i turn my attention to where shes looking at. And indeed her words were correct. The girl is literally humping one of her too many boyfriends. I cringe at the sight.

"She's got great boobs though" rory says as she pops her gum. I nod with her as we pass them. "I can't believe that in more than a year we'll be gone from this hell hole" april smiles.

I nudge her playfully "I thought you loved highschool and romanticizing everything . You literally said you want to meet your soulmate at the school library by walking into them and letting your books fall" rory laughs from beside me as she looks at me with a "are you serious face" .

"What?" I question.

"Nothing ,its just miss girl literally had a huge ass hickey not too long ago. Oh and might i remind you it was from a stranger. How the hell is she gonna meet her soulmate . If she lets people suck her neck like its their last meal"

My eyes widen as i stare between them."Oh no you didn't. "Mrs.idontkisswhenifuck" april spits back.

I hold my hands in surrender "Personally i wouldn't have let that go".

"Shut up" they both say in unison as they stare each other down. I roll my eyes at their dramatics.

Their crude words get interrupted by a female voice i recognize "Hey stella! "

I smile a toothy grin as i turn around to face lia. My smile falls as i see whose walking with her. Zaid. Lia and zaid. Zaid is walking towards me and my friends. I watch how everyones attention turns toward him. Some girls are looking at him with interest. Others are talking about how they'd fuck him. Guys are staring at him in envy. I never noticed how zaid walked with power.

It was like he knew he was being watched. Other people would've cowered and hide in the bathroom. He felt power when they looked at him. He wore that stupid smirk with pride as he walked toward us.

"Stella why is that adorable human being and the schools new hot shot walking toward us? And how does she know you?" April says through her teeth as she comes to stand next to me.

Rory takes the other side as she looks at me and smiles "oh stella , pray tell what you're hiding dear"

I swallow spit down my dry throat ...im at a loss for words . Soon enough they're both infront of us. I stare up at zaid as he looks straight at me. I shake my head as i stare at his sister. I smile as she runs in for a hug.

Physical touch. I fucking hated it. But somehow this girl brought a sort of warmth to my stomach. I smile as i hug her back. I can basically feel april and rorys stunned faces.

"Hey lia , good to see you again" i say as i pull away. Lia nods and smiles as she stares at my friends. Her smile falls as her mouth parts "You guys are so pretty" she whispers.

April giggles from behind me . She pushes me out of the way as she stands in my place. I groan as i almost fall face first into the ground.

"Well aren't you a cutie patootie ,im april . Nice to meet you ! " april says as she grabs lias hand. They both giggle.
"Oh my god! I've read that book before ! 
It starts with us! " lia squeals as she jumps up and down. I look at rory as to see her reaction. She just shrugs as she looks back at the two girls.
